AdolfHitlerxXx:A protest spearheaded by Runtown, an Igbo man, and dominated by Igbos residing in Lagos, the core of the police menace. While the likes of Naira Marley and Burnaboy where either engaging in online video call or stylishly evading the protest. We had another protest in Aba. Stop being foolish, it doesn't pay |

As terrible as this shows our Nigerian police (no be today dem start), can you look at the prompt response of the sitting government at the time? In a (as they would say) military dictatorship! And you can imagine that despite how somehow laughable the reason for the protest was then, when the police overstepped their boundaries, the government intervened immediately. Unlike today. In a supposed democracy. It took almost a week for our government to respond to an issue so important as the SARS harassment. |

Ratedgang:This country did not fight for independence. Britain just dash us free. We have never worked together for anything, so we don't share same ideal. Hence all the fighting and disagreement, from Civil war, to military regime, to even this website. See the insults we give each other on this site, we versus ourselves O. Not foreigners attacking us. |

OP ..thanks for posting this. This was at the height of bloody military oppression when the response to riots was "shoot on sight" . Look at how students ( many in their 50s and 60s now) took on the Military. Yet some indomie eating Arrow with no knowledge of history will sit behind a laptop and be calling his parents cowards. If only we could go back in time. |

Just so you know that nothing really ever changes in Nigeria. SARS will be dissolved, a couple months or even years down the line when Nigerians will have forgotten totally, another squad with another acronym will be formed. As sad as it hurts to say this, life will go on. |

DuBLINGreenb:true talk bro.. I have said it in one of my previous post.. Our so called elders are the cause of all the problems of nigeria.. Nigeria was thier responsibility to nurture and develop but they stole from it, starved and malnourished it. Now, they want the youth to do the cleansing where as they are still frustrating the youths effort. Anything the youth exhibit today, were all learnt from the elder.. They should hide thier head in shame for failing the youth and the country. |
