@wip7 Boss please how can one go about getting very affordable accommodation in North Cyprus for a student?
Re: North Cyprus: Part 2 by wip7: 7:04pm On Oct 06, 2020
LuckBrother:
@wip7 Boss please how can one go about getting very affordable accommodation in North Cyprus for a student?

The major cities are Famagusta, Girne, Lefkosia and Güzelyurt. So the price will depend on:

----The location where the university is located
----Years of the house/apartment (the older the cheaper)
----Distance of the accommodation from the university or city center (the further away the cheaper; most of the universities have Free bus to collect students within the city they are located)
--- Type of accommodation (2 and 3 beds flats will be cheaper when shared)

Most of the flats come furnished with necessary home kits; average 2 bed ensuite in Famagusta is around 2000$ per year which can then be shared by two people making 1000$ a year, this excludes utilities.

Just visit this website; type the city the school is located and select type of accommodation (1+1 means 1 bedroom with a sitting room, 2+1 means 2 bed rooms with a sitting/playing room): https://www.101evler.com/en

Attached is just 5 min walk to EMU; I bought 2 flats here for rent for graduate student it goes 4000$ per 10 months in case you are interested.

I want to apply to EMU for the February session. What is the visa like ? I have all relevant documents, am I guaranteed visa or I need to pay an agent some money to facilitate it ?

Nobody can guarantee you a visa. The issuance and grant of a visa is a privilege by the embassy, not a right.

You don’t need to pay any agent to apply for a visa; the Turkish embassy that handles TRNC visa have website and state all the visa requirements including procedures to apply so why paying agents to do that ? Get all the required documents and follow the stated procedures then apply; if the visa officer finds you genuine... he or she will issue you a visa otherwise you get denied.

If you get denied you can still come over with OKTB...

May I know what department and level you want to apply to at EMU? If interested at EMU you can contact me. Otherwise you can read on our university website all you need to know about EMU.

Best wishes

Have you been to Burundi, Gambia, Uganda before ? I personally I have been there on many occasions! There are thousands of Nigerian studying in these countries....

In North Cyprus there are thousands of citizens of Burundi, Uganda and Gambian studying. So why do Nigerian go to those places?

You asked Nigerians to go study in Europe rather than Cyprus; they are not blind before and many of them know that there are over 40 countries in Europe so why they don’t go there ?

I personally don’t believe agents can point a gun to anybody head to go study anywhere; any educated person should be able to read, explore, ask questions and must be able to pay for their tuition fees wherever they go!

How many of the people can afford to pay for tuition fees in Switzerland or the UK? Or which Europe are you talking? Serbia, Romania, Ireland, Denmark?

Can you afford a master degree of 15,000 Euro in Denmark ? Even master that worth 2500$ in Cyprus how many can afford it?

For those that can pay the fees...How many of them have been issued visas?

In North Cyprus; police or SARS DONT kill people indiscriminately; there are electricity everywhere and internet facilities all over the country which is fairly affordable for average students; universities in north Cyprus don’t go on strikes and majority of the universities are well ranked far better than what you see in many African countries....they don’t have ritualists that kill anyhow. Lecturers don’t want to sleep with ladies to give marks. They have students from more than 60 countries studying there and population of African students are less than 15%.

Advise your government to make your education better, to provide 24/7 electricity, facilities in the university, to avoid strikes in universities and improve your educational system entirely ....that way the citizens of your country will not need to go Abroad to study...

There are well meaning Nigerians and Africans studying in North Cyprus and doing greater things. Not all people that travels abroad to study are going there because they come from gutter ..many are going for actual education

Before you make any sound claims and advise people...you should have well rounded traveling experience, actual education and financially okay.

If you don’t want people to go to any particular country; you should provide them visa, tuition fee to your country of your choice. You can also, make paid advertisements on various newspapers, radio and tv channels, and visit the ministry of education and all international airports to intensify your campaign.

This thread is to give advice, support and answers questions of people that are financially ready to study abroad, people interested in education...is not for people that come from gutter, not for fraudsters, not for people that can’t even afford 100k monthly in their countries and wanting to become overnight billionaires abroad, not for drug dealers, not for those claiming to go abroad for study but don’t even know if Nigeria is in Africa.....

If you can afford to pay UK fees and get visa bye bye nobody forces you to North Cyprus or put gun or arrow on your chest!

Enough of this craps!

Uskudar is in Istanbul (Asian side). You don’t use ok to board, you need to apply for visa at the Turkish embassy. No oktb for turkey just Cyprus.

He or she has not left Nigeria before neither even visit airport for once. He just roam around Nairaland begging for 1k or 2k. I wonder person that has no single travel experience, never lived in any of the European countries or any place abroad will not be advising his/her government first. These are the types of people agents deceive because they are desperate and going abroad not for education but otherwise.

People advising students that decided to move abroad for studies base on them willing to get better education and comfortable standards of living not to do so are either,
1. They have never been out of the country.

2. They want to make the same moves, but can't afford it so they become frustrated.

3. They hate others been successful.

4. They are the ones you see on every travel thread bringing negative vibes just to pull the threads down.

My own advice is that once you set your goal, never let someone discourage you because they might also have Same goal's as yours but can't achieve it but will rather do anything possible to discourage you from achieving yours.

Have you been to airport before ? Cyprus make their education strong to attract students not to attract workers that will come and beg for 2k daily.

Have you been to south Cyprus before ? What do you know about the place?

Wip7 have been to over 75 countries globally, studied in developed countries and earned the highest academic degrees. Wip7 is proud citizens of 3 nations and would not be needing visas to nearly 170 countries unlike you.

Wip7 owns investment and business would not be begging for 2k even if he does not work for 100 years.

Visit Cyprus and enjoy 7 days in one of my properties FREE... if you are in Cyprus right away please send message I will arranged that for you, come with your camera phone with video capabilities so you can show the world what you have seen.

Stop polluting all threads with your lack of education and gutter-life.

Because Wip7 comments and give advise on this thread does not mean he will ever be equated to lower-lives financially, academically or global experience. You think am one of those that just sit in the UK or any country waiting for 5 jobs salaries or government benefits?

Wip7 is academic professor with salary that worth far than what average people in your end earns.

Attached is average salary of academics in North Cyprus in reputable universities like EMU, METU, EUL etc, this is after tax and note we earn 13 months salary yearly not 12 months and we also get paid around 3000$ dollar (university +Turkey) per research publication we make...google Wip7 profile for 2020 and see how many publications and do the maths...

So do the maths; please don’t compare someone dead with another sleeping.

Although, there are some agents telling lies to students about it being a country and job opportunities, and it seems you are a victim of one (@feyang).
Had you been following this thread you'll see there's no sugar coating here, as Wip7 always give explicit answers to every question being asked as well as others on this thread. I don't know what you did or the people you met that made you tag cyprus citizens as unwelcoming, I became friend with some of them and consider them as hospitable.

A lecturer of mine in Yabatech used to make a statement " Yabatech didn't come knocking at your doors, you chose to come.." and I think same applies here North Cyprus (Universites) didn't come knocking at anyone's door, there are varieties of options you can study in private universities in Nigeria or go elsewhere. I believe anyone embarking on a journey (or anything) must be well informed about it before proceeding, which is what this thread is all about.
