The Speaker, Edo State House of Assembly, Hon. Francis Okiye has been Impeached. The impeachment letter was signed by 9 out of the 10 lawmakers present at plenary this morning. A new speaker, Marcus Onobun from Esan west has emerged.... This impeachment is coming barely a month to the inauguration of Governor Godwin Obaseki for a second term in office......

If the house of assembly speaker didn't support him, he would have been a former governor by now.
