These unions are so silly, I pity the state Unis joining them. It is now that they know they can design their own platform. How the hell do you tell your employer how to pay you. 1 Like |

Government wants to use this people to spoil ASUU plan. By the time they come up with theirs the government will say it cannot have multiple payment platforms at which point it will be very reasonable. 2 Likes |

SpecialAdviser: Based on my readings, yes it will reduce in a nutshell but mostly because ASUU has gotten its way and negotiated certain favorable terms IPPIS is no longer recognizing. In some instances, obtaining these terms makes no sense in the first instance, in other cases they are legitimate issues that I believe can be fixed on the platform as other agencies have been using it long before now. 1. A number of universities have bargained PAYE tax reliefs with their state governments. IPPIS deducts according to the accepted standard by law. 2. Some allowances being received by them are not captured by IPPIS. 3. IPPIS makes certain deductions like NHF, meaning take home pay is lower across board. 4. They won’t acknowledge this but some of them work multiple jobs with multiple salaries. IPPIS prevents this using BVN. You’re caught up now. 4 Likes 1 Share |

Re: IPPIS: Government Can’t Use ASUU Platform To Pay Us — University Workers by brexit: 9:12am On Oct 13, 2020 |
All these are show of foolishness, have we seen on earth where an employee is telling the employer the platform with which he will be paid These Unions and their members lack ordinary common sense |
Re: IPPIS: Government Can’t Use ASUU Platform To Pay Us — University Workers by MT: 9:12am On Oct 13, 2020 |
Iolo: This a simple case. Document all the changes you want to effect in IPPIS, send it to the company in charge of the software design. Get a feedback from the company how long it will take to implement the changes. If the software was well architected (i.e not tightly coupled using technical term), making changes will be easy. FG will rightly not accept any payment platforms from any of the union. It's unrealistic 2 Likes |

MT: Exactly. As simple as this sounds, it’s being politicized by the Unions. Them dragging it out this vehemently makes it appear there is a vested interest in not making IPPIS work. 1 Like |
