Very very much
I can't go a day without reading the Bible.
Even though I'm not a religious person.

The Bible is gradually becoming outdated in the lives of false religionsists, but it is and will ever remain relevant in the life of Jehovah's Witnesses whose responsibility is to go from house to house preaching and teaching obedient ones how to reconcile with God!

to determine if the bible is still relevant in our lives today.

A book such as the bible is only as relevant as the mind of its reader considers it. So it shouldn't matter what others think, but what you believe.

Read the book for yourself and draw your own conclusion.

The person asking this question, are you a Christian?
If yes do you know that the scriptures is the word of God, and Jesus Christ said, "heaven and earth shall pass away, but not one jot of his word will not be fulfilled"

The holy scriptures isn't a text book that can be modified and different editions be released.
Thank you

Okay.
And what do you think the Bible is, in the first place?
Why not start from there.

Tell us, then we can now discus if it is still relevant or not. Hence, we will be making shallow conclusions.

A Mirror is Useless to he who is Blind!

So also is The Word of God, to he who loves his wickedness!

well i believe the bible is a book from God written for benefit. And 2 timothy 3:16 tells us similar.

The Bible is never outdated, infact it's up to date, because what we are experiencing now is what the Bible predicted long ago
You can check Matthew 24:1......
The Bible states how we must live if you must be a follower of Jesus...always meditate on God's word....Selah!!

Okay.
Why do producers or manufacturers of products such as electronic gadgets and so on, include an Instructional Manual with their products?

Even more, the Bible is more than an instructional Manual for every human on earth...its the compendium of God's words, ordeals, encounters, with man. With it, we can read into God's mind, deep thoughts for our lives and situations.

Therefore, as long as there's life on earth (before Rapture), God's Word is needed.

How did you come to the conclusion that the Bible is the word of God?
if u are asking this question from a rational point of view, and not from a faith point of view, i'm sorry i can't answer u. If you wish to confirm it, pray to God to guide you as you study the scriptures, so u can see modern day events fufilling prophesy. Have u read about the history of the bible? Which book has passed through such persecution and survived? But it survived even till tomorrow, this alone begs the question what is the power in this holy book?

The Holy Veedas went through a lot and still survived and the religion is way older than Christianity. Does that mean Hinduism is true? If we're going to come to a conclusion without being rational, there's no need to even start because that'll be Cos 90°. So, should i pray to lord Krishna to also point to whether Hinduism is true or not?

Well it depends.

If you view the Bible as a literal and scientific book then no, it's not relevant.

If you view it as a book of literature, something you can choose to read and take lessons and inspiration from and not as a strict manual, then yes.
I'd put it the same category as the great literatures of the other faiths and philosophical books.

bro i think u should check ur historical findings again. I will say no more because christianity is based on faith on Gods unfailing words not rationality. Okay. I pray God opens your eye of understanding, so u won't compare the word of God to occultic books whose author were mere men inspired by the devil to deceive.
Re: Is The Bible Still Relevant Today? by Nobody: 8:04pm On Oct 14, 2020
Yes, but it's fast losing relevance. As science continues to grow, it will become more useless.
Re: Is The Bible Still Relevant Today? by Heathen777(m): 8:52pm On Oct 14, 2020
It's mostly only relevant to those that were indoctrinated with it.

You're insinuating that their books are occultic only because you've not studied about other religions, in order to come to the truth, there's a need to compare and contrast. BTW, do you know that Jesus Christ could have been a made up entity in history?
Moreover, if you have extraordinary claims, there's a need to back them up with extraordinary evidence, saying someone like Jesus Christ walked on water, raised the dead, when he died, thousand arose from the dead and a lots more requires strong evidence for people to accept.
Bro, I'm not saying you can't believe what you don't want to believe, I'm just saying that i think it'll be better to accept or reject things based on evidence.

First, let's look into the various deities that existed before Jesus. The first I'll like to look into is Krishna which means 'the anointed one' existed thousands of years before Jesus was born of a Virgin in 900 BC with a star in the East signalling his coming. A tyrant killed thousands of infants because he wanted to kill Krishna. He was a teacher in the temple, he was a healer who performed miracles, he was crucified between two thieves and resurrected from death. Another god was Attis who was born of a Virgin on December 25th 1220BC, He was crucified and rose from the dead after three days. Mithra on the other hand was a Persian god who was also born of a Virgin, travelled around with 12 disciples, performed miracles, died for 3 days and was resurrected, he was called the truth and the light and was worshipped on Sundays. Dionysus of Greece 500BC was also born of a Virgin, performed miracles, was referred to as the king of kings as well as the alpha and omega. Horus of Egypt was born of a Virgin around 3000BC and a star in the East signalled his coming, he was adored by 3 kings, he was a teacher at 12, began his ministry at 30, he performed miracles, had 12 disciples, he was crucified, died for 3 days and was resurrected, he was referred to as the lamb of God.
By looking at all of them, you'll realize that they come from a relatively accessible geographical location. All the deities existed before Jesus and Jesus Christ has all those characteristics. How can one not say that Jesus Christ was made up as a combination of the deities that existed around that area at that point in time. I'll implore that you check this out by yourself so that it won't be like I'm making things up. Please, check them up in your local library or the internet.

Bro this people you are talking about weren't born of virgins that's one point.
Please I will appreciate if you provide the source of these findings. Because Wikipedia encyclopedia is saying something else. It has never happened in history and will never happen where a virgin conceived and gave birth except in the time the LORD Jesus Christ.
Those gods u are talking about are mythical beings. Even if they were as powerful as you say, and the date of their birth coinciding with that of Jesus, I don't know of that. But mind you, December 25th isn't the birth day of Jesus Christ.
Please check your findings okay well and give the source.
