#EndSARS protesters have narrated how their act of kindness moved an Abuja traffic warden to tears, IgbereTV reports.

According to one of the protesters, Victor Daniel, the traffic warden was scared and wanted to run for his life after he saw the crowd approaching him. However after they stopped and explained that he had nothing to fear about, they went on to give him drinks, food, fruits, groundnuts, contributed money for him, took selfies with him and also encouraged him.

The Facebook user further revealed that shortly after the protesters left, the man bent over shyly and cried.

He wrote;

"Today in Abuja, as the protesters approached a traffic warden, he got scared and wanted to run away. The protesters stopped him, and told him he didn't need to run as they have also been victims of SARS (remember Lagos?)

So they crowded around him, gave him drinks, food, fruits, groundnuts, contributed money for him, took selfies with him, and told him that they see all their great efforts. Shortly after they left, he bent over shyly and cried.

I was lucky to escape been killed just for telling a SARS man to pay for the beer he drank in a poor widow shop

Don't worry about your fears, we won't take up arms. We are civilised, and we believe in proper rules of engagement, and peace not violence.

You see we are the good guys but the government keeps painting us like the bad ones. Imagine, we succeed the police would be digital, they have new equipment to fight crime, and better infrastructure and above all there salaries would increase but the government doesn't want this, they prefer using poverty as a means to control the nation.

I am in support of all suggestion u raised. It is high time we took over the mantle of leadership , enough of old men with myopic idea ruling us since sixties. The world is a global world now , we don't need analogue president or governor again.
Also Discos too need to be given treatment. My bill for September is 44,000. My family and I go out in the morning and retire to the house in the night. No printing machine no air conditional. Just freezer , fridge , TV and sound system . power supply is 12-10 hours per day. Yet they charged me 44k.

The traffic warder wanted to run out of guilt but was overpowered by kindness. he must have remembered all the times he extorted drivers, traffic offenders and other motorists and feared that retribution is here on seeing the crowd, but alas, they are not on his level. So, after the show of love as payment for his past misdeeds, he became shy and cried. I pray this marks a new beginning for him. Let the change continue with him.

I think this protest is bringing awakening among the youths.i heard that they did same at ajegunle.people were charged exorbitantly,some as high as 90k...the youths went around collecting all the bills from house to house, then took the bills to phcn office and dumped them there. They told phcn that they should share the original bills whenever they were ready.
The confidence the youths portray nowadays is soul lifting.im impressed...let's just try and keep it as peaceful as possible. We shall get there.
