.e 1/72 per day

T + C = 120 days
=1/120 per day

S + C = 90 days
i.e 1/90 per day


S + T + C = ?


combining all three (per day) eqns in addition

S + T + T+ C + S + C = 2S + 2C + 2T = 2(S + T + C)

2(S + T + C) = 2 (1/72 + 1/120 + 1/90)
= 2 (12/360)

we invert the value in the brackets to get the total no. of days (no longer each day)

= 2 x 360/12 = 720/12 = 60 days.

so

x + y = 125

x + 12.5 = 125

x = 125 - 12.5

x = 112.5 (confirm 112.5 is 100 more than 12.5)

% of x = x/125 times 100
