Anyone with a networth of N10m above has a networth bigger than at least 85% to 90% of the populace in Nigeria

Everyone here commenting most likely have a few millions or even more millions in assets
This puts us in the top quintile of Nigerians

So Ahib may just be right.

That said, in an unrelated talk.....

I wont be surprised if that disgraced officer on the run in Anambra state is hiding in govt house

Okay, I understand where you are coming from now, it is quite personal, he may have insulted you in the past and made some claims about investing the real economy, I myself do not agree to everyone investing in the real economy, there is no security, the country and the Government may wake up tomorrow and bring unfavourable policies that may end your business, also most people may have 9 to 5 jobs and may not have time to monitor their business, I understand where you are coming from, you need to understand that in this world nobody's point is fully right or wrong, it is just finding a balance

Please try and forgive and move on

Best regards

The investment mistake I made

Or will I say the investment opportunity I missed

Was to sit on the sidelines when the carnage of March /April was in full swing

Taking some reasonable positions in Nestle, (<N800)
Zenith (<N11) and even Wapco and a few others I had in my radar then would, by now have paid off big!

While I remained on the sidelines hesitant
The brave ones took their positions
And are reaping bountiful from it.

This is not to say that there were no gains
But indecisiveness made me lose out on a big opportunity
AGAIN!
The lessons learnt from this, is that

1)dont have the "end of the world mentality, it won't l. No matter the gloom or panic, it will pass over
Which leads to the second

2) A fundamental company shares will always survive the storm, regardless of what happens. As long as the company has not had structural blows to the chin, even if the share price is going down, if you are liquid, buy more, and more.

Looking back in hindsight
I'm glad I'm among the living who survived the pandemic

Not so happy about the lost opportunities

But the lessons learnt are tattooed to my heart.

That's about it...

Now I see why you are more concerned of whether an online person is a billionaire or not. You are actually suffering from a type of OCD and inferiority complex.

Please oo, I have a question for those with experience in transportation.

How much do drivers of 30 ton trailer charge to move goods between Port Harcourt and Abuja?

What is the fuel consumption of the average Nigerian 30 ton trailer per km?

Will you advice I hire trailers to move my goods or will it be cheaper for me to own my own trailer just for the purpose of moving my goods? (Usually 2-3 trips per week per trailer depending on distance)

What do you think is the most cost-effective method of moving HEAVY goods across Nigeria?

Anyone aware of anyone or company using barges to transport their goods long distance via inland rivers like Rivers Niger and Benue? Like from onitsha to Niger state through river Niger

NB: For the first question, it doesn't necessarily have to between PH and Abuja, any pair of major cities apart from Lagos (as Lagos transportation tends to be super expensive compared to other parts of the country) you're knowledgeable about will do.

Must the trucks carry maximum 30 tons sef? What happens if I load them with 40/45 tons? Or I attach 2 trailer-beds to one head? grin

Buying your own truck will be cheaper but that is if you are capable to deal with in the stress that comes with it.
A friend is doing something similar.
Trucking for 30 tonnes single body truck(not trailer) is 250,000-300,000naira from Aba to Calabar.

Some months ago, I was in need of a product in which I sent him a message without hesitation he sent one of his drivers to kano on my behalf and connected me with the supplier. He sent the supplier's account number to me and I made payment. Guess what? My product was delivered to my sister in ibadan from kano and right now people around me here in Ireland are craving to have more. So, channel your energy to improve your own life and stop being the lazyyouth that you are.
