Is the word "MEN" related to any cult group... My freind use the word a lot. He talks about liking them and all.. But don't know if it is a cult group..
strong men or system man is used to refer to cultist.i learnt that here on NL however when I'm out I mind my words and talk less because I don't know who might misquote me or take offence for using a particular word innocently not knowing it's a cult word. In summary just speak proper English because some pidgin words are mixed with cult grammar and we don't know which is which to avoid stories that touch.abeg this is nigeria

Port Harcourt is one of the most popular and biggest cities in Nigeria. Located in the South Southern region, it is the capital of the oil producing Rivers State.

Living in Port Harcourt has its own perks and downsides. The perks been it is home to most delicious bole and fish while the downside is it is home to some of the dreaded cult groups in Nigeria.

These cult groups mainly made up by Vikings, Iceland, Dembam, Dewell, Greenlanders, have unique cult Slangs that are now been associated with Port Harcourt. You often seen these slangs been used on social media however, if you're not a cult member, it is strongly advised you don't use it in PH.

Hope you enjoyed reading this? I look forward to having your feedbacks below.

This thread is very misleading. Portharcourt is actually one of the places you'd be more safer using this slangs because they're all seen as normal there after Portharcourt then Bayelsa is actually another place all these slangs are used although Bayelsa's own has a more Ijaw and traditional Nigerdeltan flavour to it.

A bunch of the slangs used there sef are not even cult slangs..the cult slangs there are Die it, Wida, Who goes, Jass out , Jass in , disembark etc The rest are normal like lap, compass, abobi , manchi etc are normal. Plus the OP got a lot of the meanings wrong like compass.

And the two names you mentioned there are actually from Bayelsa. A lot of this slangs are used in Bayelsa too, and it's not only by cultists.
