This is an interesting piece. I was once there too. My question is: 'how come we cannot manage our own affairs wholly, without seeking help' ?

Veterinary science in Nigeria, has limit. Some involve invitation of foreign bodies to assist. Besides, those involved bodies help spread awareness to overseas tourists, about Yankari. NO COUNTRY IS AN ISLAND OF PERFECTION, OGA!

Shut up hater. I was in Yankari few weeks ago and every thing there is at is in the pictures. Infact your comment shows that you don't even know anything about Yankari neither have you visited. the place. "Cable cars not working". For real? Where have you ever seen a cable car in Yankari? Or are you mistaken it for Obudu Ranch? Yankari is just an hour drive from me so I always go there with the family.

Yankari is one of the only two sites in Nigeria where lions still exist.

I personally saw a pride of Lions in 1998.

Simply lack of local experts in such area. How many Nigerians go to school to study anything related to wildlife conservation. That is why we still remain redundant as a nation because our culture and mentality is too conservative and safe. Thank God for digital era that is upon us we are slowing evolving into the right part

You Read wildlife conservation at your own peril in Nigeria. You no go see job do at all. Besides, which school offers that course?

Have been there before, swam in the warm spring. Very clear and clean water. From the first gate entrance to the second gate entrance is 40km and you'll see different sign board not to speed because animals can cross the road at anytime
