Going through many threads here on nairaland

I discover a trend where persons from a region of Nigeria are always quick to cast aspersions and besmear the person of leaders from other regions, to include Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu

I discover that these elements despite the decay going on in their part of the country and the excessive corrupt tendencies of their immediate leaders assume the ostrich posture to matters negatively affecting their region

As much as we Yorubas believes in the indivisibility of Nigeria and prefers mostly the unity of our Fatherland Nigeria, we cannot afford to close our eyes and ears while some untrained and unrespectful elements goes on derogatory name calling exercise on revered yoruba leaders

It is widely known that the yoruba tribe remains the most accommodating and the single thread holding Nigeria's unity together thus every other tribe in the country strongly believes and runs to the yoruba region for economic and security survival.

To this end we wish to advice all and sundry to be objective towards the matter at hand. This is no time for name calling as we all are equally guilty of whatever we may wish to blame any other Nigerian for at this period in our national evolution

Since Charity is said to begin at home let's all Nigerian citizens especially the youths become more sober and introspective and start speaking up on injustices right from our immediate local government to the state and then to the federal

We believe in the unfolding New Nigeria and as such we the youths especially must ensure not to repeat the same mistakes made by our forebears

LONG LIVE THE FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA
Oga, go and sit down jor... what has Nigeria ever done for me? everything about me is God grace and my struggle...

Those days in secondary school, we used to argue whenever our History teacher did not come early. Our argument was whether a president as handsome as IBB goes to the toilet and if he uses his own hands to clean his bumbum or touch pupu shocked

Interesting

Interesting lies told by a politician seeking to increase his media profile ahead of whatever he has been promised for 2023.

What/who was he to Awolowo before he died, for Awolowo to confide in him on such a sensitive matter

Orji Kalu no matter what you write about yourself, it won't change our opinion about you as one of the worst Governors in this country and a major obstacle to the development of Abia State.
It is therefore our opinion and advise for you never to waste your money attempting to view for the office of President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Please be guided.

I am not sure Orji Uzor Kalu made this statement, though, the IBOs are known for propaganda that cannot stand logic or intelligence reasoning, I doubt OUK made this statement.

As at May 1987 when Awolowo died, who was he? The only record he had was that as a student in University of Maiduguri, he donated fake money during a fund raising ceremony.

Even Nnamdi Azikiwe that died in 1996, Segun Awolowo jnr or Older age group like Tinubu cannot claim he confided in them on national matters. On what political indices will Baba Awolowo be confiding in Uzor Kalu?

The man is a fool to think he matters in Nigeria politics. That's why he's behaving like a mad man by dressing like a northern person whenever he wants to visit buhari or any hausa man.

Orji Kalu remains one of the reasons why folks in general hesitate to respect igbo people.
He is unstable and completely irresponsible...Instead of constantly hating on Tinubu, the igbos should be cursing at Orji Kalu

IBB was only following the example established by Gowon whom Awolowo supported and empowered to destroy Nigeria and enshrine North-dominated military dictatorship.

Localemperor:
He took power in 1985 and promised to return to civilian government in 1990, the date was changed to 1992 and subsequently 1993. The 1993 election was annulled to keep him in office. And Orji is telling me that the GENERAL has no intention either through any means whatsoever to stay longer in office. IBB was power hungry and had no intention to handover even before the June 12 saga.

Craps!
Does this illogical Biography of his, appeal and appease to the hearts and souls of the Yorubas??

Meaning, Uzor Kalu's real age is just very few years less than 70yrs?

Awolowo died in 1987!

Orji was a Babangida boy in every sense of the Word . It was Babangida that first put Orji on Nigeria's Radar Screen nobody knew him before then.

Orji is not telling the truth.

Arrant nonsense!!! If the bolded is remotely true, it typically attested to the chameleonic character of Awolowo. Awolowo had trusted the military which gave him the key to Nigerian treasury and distrusted the military which only needed his person on a steering committee.

Good back to school to learn English Comprehension , then come back and comprehend this quotes from the article;

“I learnt from him that there existed two types of the military which he described as professional and mercenary military.

“He told me the military government was of the latter type (and) assured me that he had not seen anything in the IBB regime to assure him of their messianic mission .”

But Gowon was following the example of General Ironsi, who established the first military government in Nigeria.

I know you find reading any write-up more than 3 lines tasking. So, clean the tears in your eyes and read the write-up again...3 lines at a time. That should help your comprehension.
