Looks lovely... Been there before..

The challenge however is getting there now.

The roads to Yankari are paved with bombs and bandits.

Visit at your own risk!
it is not true joor Bauchi is safer than your state

When did phone companies start manufacturing waterproof under water camera phones?

The fools we call Nigerian youths. You all are nothing but traitors and saboteurs.

Simply lack of local experts in such area. How many Nigerians go to school to study anything related to wildlife conservation. That is why we still remain redundant as a nation because our culture and mentality is too conservative and safe. Thank God for digital era that is upon us we are slowing evolving into the right part
We've many zoologist roaming around jobless. Zoologist can do a lot there.

yankari is safe, and there's an airport in neighboring gombe (formerly in bauchi state) with daily flights from Abuja

i'm not asking him to report the business. He is complaining that someone saying that the pictures are old pictures is lying and asking the mods to shut down the post. And i advised him to do that himself, press the Report button and state the rule the post broke.
Re-read my post and the post I quoted, u will understand.

Shut up hater. I was in Yankari few weeks ago and every thing there is at is in the pictures. Infact your comment shows that you don't even know anything about Yankari neither have you visited. the place. "Cable cars not working". For real? Where have you ever seen a cable car in Yankari? Or are you mistaken it for Obudu Ranch? Yankari is just an hour drive from me so I always go there with the family.
i think he mistook this yankari game reserve for m obudu cattle ranch. Because i watched a review few weeks ago about the place recent conditions and it’s nothing to write home about.

I love the good work you're doing Nafisa. Promoting the North in positive light.
I'm really impressed with the game reserve. I'm looking forward to visiting there soon.

You can be in Bauchi.

How about people coming into Bauchi from other states passing through Taraba or Plateau?
People have been coming in and going out of Buachi... no insurgency has been recorded so far.

And I've travelled out of the state not less than 3 times this same year...

This is an interesting piece. I was once there too. My question is: 'how come we cannot manage our own affairs wholly, without seeking help' ?

At the highest levels nobody achieves greatness without help. The differentiator is the terms on which the help comes. In Kenyan and South Africa game reserves you have experts from around the world. Self sufficiency is a myth.

My travels are mostly work related. I used to be in charge of delivering our clients' consignments to them and I enjoyed every bit of the moment. I used to travel from Lagos go see my Girlfriend for Aba in those days but I am married now (to another woman). I see traveling as a kind of inconvenience now.

I love nature but traveling from West To North is a huge security risk. I would love to visit this reserve. The government must end insecurity. This kind of the trip would be so much fun by train. And I mean new generation trains. So many sights to see from a moving train. Naija, why??
bro, Bauchi state is one of the safest states in the country. you really have nothing to fear. those stories you hear in the news about the north are not really so.

How true? What of the road that leads to bauchi even if we agree it's safe.

You can also point out the 'differentiator' in our management compared to these countries. Would the experts even bother to come settle in Nigeria except the piggy in the bank is absolutely smashing.
When I was in school, there was one year many rare and exotic birds and other animals died; Yet our so-called experts didn't even act as though something was amiss, just to come and blow Lingua and intimate students.

I don't know where you are coming from but you'd probably pass through Abuja, then Jos and finally Bauchi. all of which are peaceful. the media reports make it look as if the whole of the North is unsafe... far from the reality. most times when you receive such reports of violence, it is most likely in one remote village.
