I think you need to visit your nearest NIN office to check the issue. Alternatively, there’s a number to text to confirm your nin, try and find the number (i don’t have it) and see.

To ur first question: Abt 3 weeks now

I went to nimc office at ikeja and they verified again for me, they told me nothing was wrong.

From my experience it is DIY-friendly. You may encounter some of them at the entrance just emphasize that you have paid online. Ask for servicom, they are very friendly. I had hitch-free experience though I'm yet to go back for collection.

1.Any other valid document(s) such as age declaration/ birth certificate. Basically, any official document with the correct date of birth.

2. Absolutely correct.

3. A few days - 3 weeks depending on certain variables.

No issue bruv, I applied via DIY too, there's no need spending t-fare going there, unless your location is not far from Saulka, and they'll definitely text you when your passport is ready.

I have one immigration officer number that will be checking for me when the booklet arrives. It's really worrisome for over a month there's no 32 pages booklets, if they don't want to be issuing it anymore, let them make it official.

Their tweeter handler is not helping matter too, I've tweeted at them countless times, no response that I had to travel to Saulka to find things out myself.

According to my contact, they are yet to receive booklets delivery from Abuja. Boya they are still buying ink or cardboard to print the booklets.

Don't be sullied by what abam posted. It was through this same thread I did and got my passport, All through DIY. The problem is most don't read. There are others that ran through the same problems, but where they prepared in the first place? I personally noted every single officers name that attended to me , especially the
reluctant ones , servicomm and the capturing officers. You folks undestimate the power of social media, Call them out on their social media pages, call names, you will get a call asap to come and pick up your passport if they are really fooling around. Get pictures if you can. Videos? Better. In the end they'll rather give you your passport instead of getting sacked/transferred.


What you allow is what will continue. It got to a stage they started giving preferential treatment to DIY applicants in Ikoyi because they knew the trouble we could cause, now things have been backsliding because of the types of posters above. Hold them accountable & we would have less nonsense to deal with.

No need to call anyone out. Ikoyi supports DIY as far as i know.

I wouldn’t pay attention to what that guy posted because on this same thread people have been adviced on where is DIY friendly and where is not. People have gotten passports using DIY on this thread so what is the issue.

My advice is this: when you want to get information about availability of booklets Via call, don’t just open mouth and say you have applied. Act like you are making an enquiry before you come and apply. True information will come out.

All the updates i have given has been gotten because i act like a fresh applicant so they tell me what is available and what isn’t. Also at some point, individuals were able to get DIY passport without paying extra kobo by showing evidence of an emergency where the passport is required.

In the words of an immigration officer, “Don’t let anybody deceive you right now, no booklet. if anybody tells you to give them extra money that they will provide booklet, its a lie. That person will just swallow your money.”
