Then the Ajaokuta steel,it will be like a monument in kogi. Nigeria is a country of misplaced priority, they Northerners are systematically building things in the North, so that they will be in a position to benefit greatly in the event of a break up or true federalism.
Ajaokuta will be donated to nollywood for action film scenes.

This is not my problem. Is there no country that needs a used president? We really need to put our president up for sale at a very cheap price to aid quick sale.

The Steel Plant is a private company not public, the iron ore is sourced from Kaduna. I don't know why any positive from the North brings so much distain, vile and open hatred .

So Private Companies shouldn't invest in the North or what? This is one of the legacy of El Rufai, bringing in private investors to KD. We saw the Olam along Abuja Road, we saw the Rice Mills and the Peugeot/Dangote car assembly plant. Thabk you El Rufai

Go back to your state governors and ask them what exactly are they doing

This steel plant is private sector concieved and owned and sited in the heavily Christian south of kaduna state.
It is private sector owned and the minister is talking about it? Who owns it? Why isn't she talking about the potentials of Dangote refinery since FG has no stake in it?

They can build a different steel mill for every day of the month, it makes no difference when the population is illiterate.

They need to deal with that issue, which for some reason, they refuse to.

It is owned by an Indian company.

Plus government has not only been singing about dangote , both the past and present government even helped him get loans from international lending agencies self.

What is your governor and local government chairman done to attract more industries to your locality?

The so called steel plant is private owned and you complain the owners sited it in the north? How is it anyone's business where the owner chooses to site his business?

This inter-ethnic hatred in Nigeria has really killed rational reasoning.

So the entire $1.5b came from the Indian company and FG is talking about the Indian's $1.5b investment?
What attracted the insult about my governor or local government chairman? Is the minister of finance your state governor or who talked about any governor or local government chairman here? Must any question attract tribal or stereotypic insults from your end? Grow up bro.

Because more jobs for Nigerians is in the government's interest. More stability for Nigeria and more taax and other income for the government....from the plant is in the government's interest.

Because you seem so sour over the fact that a steel industry is being sited in the North, not in the south (and don't deny it please.)

Besides, your state governor and mine too should be aggresively attracting investment so that we can have more jobs for all...which is by the way one of the greiviances of the youth.

Infact, I can't understand why you are so upset about this steel plant. Me, whether it be sited in the North or in the South, so long as it benefits Nigeria I am happy. Infact it might make made in Nigeria cars much cheaper....especially as Innoson and other indigenous car companies might patronise this new plant.

And by the way, Aajokuta is a disgrace, and thinking about that mess makes me upset and sad that no one has been held to account.

Well I must give it to the government on this one. If properly harnessed it will bring about industrial development but data is going to be the basis for the next industrial revolution so govt need to up its game

$1.5 B for steel plant to attract foreign auto companies? ... and that is a good one?... not to develop local auto industry... but attract established foreign ones? ... and you're saying this is a good move? How is Nigeria going to gain from that? What have we gained from foreign auto companies presently operating here? The US with a historically huge auto industry is no longer producing as much steel as before.... deindustrialization.... and here we are gambling that auto companies will come.... steel will attract them. Industrialization... do we have the basic infrastructure for industrialization?.... abundant supply of electricity and water?... let alone road network? How can we ever move forward by being sooo backward in our thinking? We have long past the Agricultural Age when countries got rich because of Agriculture.... sugar to be precise and the need for slaves... African slaves. The Industrial Age(Revolution) followed and that came to an end at the closing of the 20th century. This 21st century we have moved into the Digital Age ... but here we are going back to Industrialisation as the way forward.
I hope the youths of #endsars protests remain united and vote all these grandfatherly politicians with their analog brains out of office.

Please cite the part of my comment that indicated that im pained that the plant is located in the north. You made a comment that it is privately owned, which I didnt know and I asked why FG is interested in a privately owned company. If it is FG owned, I'd expect them to finish the ones they abandoned, but since you explained that it is owned by indians, then a private owner can choose to cite his business anywhere he wants. So, why these divisive comments. You know what, im done with u arguing over nothing. Bye.

In an era where China has been over-producing steel, a $1.5b investment in steel production in Nigeria with the unfavourable busines climate, lack of power coupled with insecurity is suspicious. The figure appears to be highly over inflated and points to money laundering

“Get a high-income skill and become a millionaire in no time.”

“Do not come out of this pandemic without a skill.”

Do these sound familiar?

Since the beginning of the pandemic, there have been several posts across social media advising folks to learn skills that could serve as a means of income.

You have probably keyed into this revelation and dedicated this season to learning whatever skill is classified as high-income.

Who doesn’t want to be a millionaire in no time? No one!

Well, now that you’re done with that training, please read these words carefully, write them down if you can, so you avoid the frustration that comes with not making money with that skill.

Last week, my friend and I were looking through job offers for logo design and branding on Upwork and we saw a job for $310

That is over 100k in naira.

This is the same logo design and branding that Uche Adesanya is offering for 7,000 and Mrs. Beatrice and others are pricing for 3,000.

We also saw the profile of a designer who charges more than that amount, for 4 hours of his service.

If in 3 months, he sells to 20 clients and then, starts teaching people logo design and terms it a high-income skill that can make you a millionaire in no time.

Would he be lying? Gracious no!

He would even have proofs and screenshots of payments he has received from his clients.

You see, having a skill is one thing and knowing how to earn from it is another.

In the logo design example, what do you notice? Same skill, but different pay.

What is responsible for this?

There are many factors. But, the top of them is the clients you are serving.

After you’ve learnt that skill, go to Upwork and rent a room.

You can be doing the exact same thing as the lady who gets paid $500 for a job on Upwork, but you earn 20,000 naira.

You may be the best, but you’d eat chips when you’re earning chips.

Howbeit, if you knew about Upwork before now, you’d know there are currently some restrictions on new freelancers.

You might have tried to register a hundred times and gotten rejected a hundred and two times.

But still, Upwork is approving accounts daily.

There’s a secret to getting accounts approved instantly.

There are folks who have made it their jobs to get accounts approved for others at a fee.

But, I won't just approve your account for you. I will also teach you how to get accounts approved instantly.

Here are some other things you will learn from me:

• How to write job winning offers.
• How to get high paying clients.
• How to receive payments into your local bank account.

All these, are just a few of the things you'd know how about soon.

If you don’t have a skill to offer, do not worry.

You will also learn how to write a non-plagiarized 1000 word article in less than 20 minutes.

You can offer this skill on Upwork!

Is that all?

No.

You will be given eBooks on freelancing worth 6,370 naira.

For all you stand to gain, He could peg the fee for this training at 5,000 naira and it would still be fair.

But he has slashed the fee to learn these, to just 2,150 naira.

Amazingly,

The first 20 people to contact him will pay just 1,000 naira!

This is the last time the training will be at this fee.

It won't happen again.

When is this training commencing?

On Thursday, 24th of October, 2020.

How do you get started?

Send him a message for the account details to pay to on 0 7 0 1 4 8 9 9 9 7 2.

PS: If you don't come from a rich family, make sure a rich family comes from you.

Send him a message now.

You are very stupid . Fuckinng scammer

So Indian-run companies don't launder money?

With their so called high production output, don't they pay Nigerian graduates N80/100k per month and employ more Indians than necessary to run basic induction and arc furnaces?

And why are these ministers not saying anything definite about Ajaokuta Steel?
