These #endsars protesters are seriously violent, they are now vandalising any property at sight. The government should force where necessary to restore peace.
May God blessed our leaders and protect the from the atrocities of opposition and cybercriminals.

The so called Nigerian president is nothing . Could he not see that the Nigerian police need be reformed before coming to power ? And he has spent five years in power ! Had he done the needful , we wouldn't be having an ugly situation like this to contend with . What a leader . A useless one !

The army is controlled by the same govt you are trying to defend. No military commander can act independently or it will be deemed treason especially when innocent souls are targeted. Stop trying to defend rubbish.

If someone slaps u on your face, what will you do? Smile, I don't think so. What happened yesterday in countries where people know their right will lead to eventual overthrow of the government in power. These are just a reactions to crimes against humanity committed by the Nigerian government , it's even suprising to me that there has not been mass destruction of properties that's to tell you the protesters were actually very peaceful. If you get reactions from hundreds of thousands of nigerian youths as a result of that genocide yesterday upholds won't call peaceful protesters 'so called '. The Nigerian government is clueless, even the president doesn't know what is going on or he is just blind .

You see why I've been saying it is no longer a protest but civil unrest? Infact it legally ceased to be a protest the moment curfew was imposed.

It's unfortunate that the situation has reached this level. However, Nigerian army acted within the ambience of the law.

Section 33 sub 2 of Nigerian constitution has justified their act:

The section states;
(2) A person shall not be regarded as having been deprived of his life in contravention of this section, if he dies as a result of the use, to such extent and in such circumstances as are permitted by law, of such force as is reasonably necessary –

(a) for the defence of any person from unlawful violence or for the defence of property:

(b) in order to effect a lawful arrest or to prevent the escape of a person lawfully detained; or

(c) for the purpose of suppressing a riot, insurrection or mutiny

Are u idyotic? Wasnt the curfew meant to begin at 9PM and the shooting at innocent protesters began around 7PM?

Compound foool is what u are. Paid psycophant. Idyots like u are very easy to spot. Basstard!

Peaceful protesters blocked all the entries and exits to all places in Lagos and you called that peaceful protests?
My church brethren traveled to Kaduna for a wedding and returned to Lagos via the airport. All exit roads from the airport were blocked by protesters...their taxi driver toured the whole of Mafoluku Oshodi...for a long period of time..road blocks everywhere.. are those peaceful protesters?

People have not been able to go to their offices or businesses for many days, children who have been at home for 6 months due to COVID-19 and have just resumed school are back at home because"peaceful" protesters have blocked all access roads..how peaceful is that?
People going to the hospital cannot get there because roads have been blocked by "peaceful" protesters...how peaceful is that?

Or is your definition of peaceful only based on the fact that you are not carrying guns? What of the businesses, schools, health of people you have crushed or adversely affected through your blockades? Is that not some damage done even without a weapon?

Hong Kong protests have been ongoing for over 1 year now, did the protesters shut down the entire city and bring the economy to a halt? Black Lives Matter protesters have been protesting for over 4 months now in some major US cities...have they blockaded the entire cities and stop people from going to work, their business, school or the hospital?

Capital NO! Let's be sincere for once...the protesters have also done some damage, even outside of the anarchy and vandalism.

BTW..None of you have been able to prove that the looters and anarchists are sponsored by government.

My brother. Let it be known today that if Buhari has addressed the nation for just 3 minutes, the protests wouldn't have taken this sorry dimension. The protesters needed to do something to ensure Buhari talks. Remember, they didn't start by blocking roads.

Additionally, they want the government to know that their demands are beyond ending SARS. They want a sane country governed by sane people.

Okay, if you say the protest isn't peaceful anymore because of the new dimensions it has taken, I concur, but may I ask you if sending soldiers to kill the armless youths in their prime is the right response for a responsible government?

You are stupid..you won't find any of my family still protesting.. a protest that has lost its cause..we all are in support of ending Sars and their atrocities but we must know when to stop. When protesters kills police men, rape people, burnt down Government building, loot shops, you people will call them hoodlums but when they kill anyone of them, they will turn to peaceful protesters

I am sure the killing of the protesters yesterday agreviated this.
Were they not burning police stations and attacking prisons before those killings? Hoodlums will always hide under the cover of protests to achieve their aim. I'm sure even without those killings, it would still get to this point.

Thanks for your response. For me, killing of anyone is evil, be it by armed soldiers or armed civilians, except in the case of self-defense, which is clearly not the case here. Thus, the army has a case to answer in this regard.

That aside, the government had declared a curfew... wisdom demands that the protesters should have left every protest point and returned home just as the protests originators and supporters - Aisha Yesufu and Falz - had tweeted yesterday. Why didn't the protesters heed that call, from even their leaders? Why trying to prove some kind of strong-headedness (which is a typical Nigerian character though) with the government? This is irresponsible on the part of the protesters.
Let's call a spade a spade. Honestly, people on this forum are being very unfair to Sanwo-Olu and history will judge them for that. He visited these protesters many times and pleaded with them, encouraged them only for people to spite him now. Respect begets respect. After he had called for a curfew, the protesters should have shown a sign of respect based on his recent antecedents by obeying the curfew but they rather ignored that and rubbed it in his face by remaining on the protest grounds.

And the protesters say that power should be handed over to them....with the behavior and character manifested in the past few days, this country will be worse than Syria or Libya if such people ever gain power! Their autocracy will be worse than the military rule or Hafez Al-Assad of Syria.

Mark my words for future reference!
