Do Yorubas know how much others want Lagos destroyed? Hahaha, help them destroy the western Nigeria while they laugh at you in their closet. Alhamdulillah there will not be destructions in my beloved Arewa. How come all those Igbos hate are the targets? Tinubu (from nowhere), Sanwolu (for defeating PDP), Buhari, Oba of Lagos.... hahahaha I hereby declare Yorubas the dumbest ethnic group in Africa
APC is the ruling party. The people being attacked are notable APC officials who most probably had something to do with the recent attack.
I don't know how some of you people on this very hateful and bigoted forum are able to spin ethnic meaning into everything.
Nigerian soldiers shot at protesters at Lekki, this very action is what snowballed into the anarchy currently going on,yet some of you people with very evil hearts will want to twist it to suit your bigoted narratives.
What will make you happy now is for everyone to say "wait o, everything that's happened up till now was caused by Igbos let's attack them" abi, that's what you want to hear.

For those asking why soilders are deployed to protest grounds, well here's your answer.

The police just can't handle these violent protesters who use this opportunity to perpetuate criminal acts.

If soilders appear and start target practicing, we'll call it a massacre abi?

smh
Are the soldiers supposed to use live ammunitions on their own citizens?
what happened to the use of tear gas?

Can you see that you are very daft? Was anything destroyed until NIgeria Army decided to massacre innocent people? If your family was there, will you be saying this trash? Is it the job 9f soldiers to handle civil unrest? Has govt giving any statement about the people that were murdered? Have their killers be arrested?

You have a serious mental problem if you view this protest as a criminal act. If you are not a Hausa or Fulani man and have this view, you need serious medical attention.

U must not use live bullets on protesters who don't have guns.

This is what Nigeria must learn. There are many ways to neutralize violent protests.

Whether we have it completely this time around or not pls let the youth of this country form a political party and we should all channel all our effort as we did to the protest u will realise that we will fill all the NASS to correct nigeria. Truly we may not be able to correct all even when we win this battle bcus there are more to it.

1.Those old men and woman filling our federal and state office just as the politicians are recycling our office when they ought to retire
2. Reviving our refinery
3. CONTROL of price in Nigeria
4. Implementation of those right policies.

True they are trained for war. However, we the protesters don't respect the police. In protest grounds we've chased many of them away and outrightly threatened some.

Plus the protest was getting violent anyway thanks to the touts taking over.

The best solution would have been to retreat and give government a little time to implement the demands but if they don't, WE MOVE !
So that now gives the soldiers the right to slaughter the protesters?? Haven't you seen how violent protests are handled in other countries?

They've shown us peaceful protests don't do shit.

I swear this forum is a breeding ground for hate.
It never occurred to me for once that such a narrative would be spinned. On Facebook,on Twitter it's the same thing, Nigerians speaking with one voice.
But here on this evil forum the seed of hate and division has already been sown into the movement as with every other thing that ever graces this place.
I fear that my days on this forum would soon be coming to an end.
Nairaland has done nothing but attract the most vile, evil and bigoted group of people from every corner of this country and give them the anonymity to spew the most evil of agendas sprouting from their evil hearts.

Let soldiers fire these vandalisers and leave the peaceful protesters. But since soldiers left these ones and decided to face peaceful protesters, their message of massacre is glaring.

But our president get hard heart, he suppose to resign, how many heads have gone because of this protest, I think he suppose show us that he love us, I can't eat food again very well since this protest begin, there is no how you will rule people by force if your people reject you, you cannot be a judge of your own case, if they said that they did not want you again, you go and rest, after all you have made enough money for your self. Thank you.

I completely agree with you.... the problem is most Nigerians are too sentimental - deathless revolution is possible.... okay those that died at lekki has the change come?? No it hasn't. Death is not necessary to effect change. Let's think rationally devoid of sentiment please.

On hearing live ammunition being discharged, being unarmed, for the sake of your own safety, please retreat and or take cover.
