It is no longer news that Seyi Tinubu has admitted that he was ordered to switch off the billboard lights to implement the curfew declared by the governor and he ignorantly and innocently obeyed. He is just a child who I don't think can be part of the plan. But the fact that he was ordered to switch off the lights showed that whoever gave him the order was privy to the plan to deploy soldiers. However for the benefit of doubt, Sanwoolu and Tinubu may not be aware the soldiers have been deployed on a deadly mission, they may not know the kind of orders given to them. It is only the President that gives the others to the army eventhough by virtue of position Sanwoolu and Tinubu may be privy to the information the soldiers are being deployed.

In all I blame Tinubu because he has been blinded by his ambition, they have been telling him the Fulani can never be trusted yet he pitched his tent with Buhari for percuniary gains. He has turned his back on the Yoruba nation on many occasions or at best stayed aloof when other Yoruba leaders have taken solid positions. From the herdsmen excesses on Yoruba soil, to the formation of the Amotekun security outfit, to the oduduwa nation agitations and now the Sars cum police brutality issue.

As an elder statesman, I don't think he should be told to Wade in when necessary. Osinbajo has been more responsible despite the fact he is holding an office under the direct Fulani government. The Yoruba proverbs that says "Agba kii wa loja ki Ori omo tuntun o wo" should come to mind. If he had done well in Lagos, he won't need to be running around now.

I blame Sanwoolu for his inexperience in dealing with self acclaimed repentant brutal military dictator. Sanwoolu's speech that the forces greater than his direct control and the fact that he was visibly shaking when giving his addresses shows clearly that he was naive to have accepted military intervention in a clear civil unrest case. That cannot happen under the nose of Fashola, Wike or Fayose. Those guys know that when you want to dine with the devil you must be wise. Eventhough he may not have been able to stop the deployment of soldiers, at least he might have left the lights and CCTV on. By now everyone would have seen clearly what happened there.

I make bold to say that the destruction of Tinubus properties is uncalled for but such cannot be outrighly avoided in such a situation. Everybody was angry. The masterplanners did an excellent job. They knew if they kill the protesters, the youth will retaliate having observed the rising tension in the burning of police stations prior to the shooting. And they did that for no reason than to bring Tinubu down. Well they succeeded. Tinubu called himself the father of all Democrats in Nigeria yet he did not see the betrayal coming. He played big into their hands.

For those people saying nonsense that it is the Igbos that's burning places in Lagos, I put it to you guys that you are one of the problems of the Yoruba nation, rather than say the truth, you will be scheming unpopular tribal sentiment just to gain trust of your political god. You are hypocrite and you are nothing but agent of division. It is visible for all to see that the boys that carried out the destruction were Yoruba area boys. From Ikorodu to Ketu to Mushin to island back to Berger, they were Lagos boys. The monster they created, fed used to destroy others and used to dominate others is the same monster that came back to destroy them. Say the truth Tinubu goofed big time. Tinubu never represented the Yoruba interest, he has represented himself so far.

They have unleashed them to the social media and Niaraland to attack the personality of Tinubu and I am suspecting those who are suppose to work with the Yoruba's. We are woke, the ploy would not work.

They want secession through force and attack, no, it won't work that way.

Well said OP. The tension is high. I think the youths that protested were heroic last week because government has already met agreed to their demands and this is precedential. Anyways, this is a wake up call for our leaders. Youths would really mobilise this coming election. Vote for a more credible and actionable leader.

Well said Mr Yekini Nabena. Meanwhile, If you have names of people who died and their pictures, forward them and let see because

WHAT WE CAN COMFIRM

Steve ABBEY did not die. His picture was circulated yesterday on twitter. He debunked the story himself. He is fine.

Eniola Badmus was allegedly shot in the stomach yesterday. The news is untrue, Eniola was not shot and is very fine.

Onyiye Francis has made clarification on a post by Yemi Alade about a man carrying a dead lady wrapped in Nigerian flag. She said that it was a movie they acted themed, "Heal our land, OH LORD!

Iraoya Godwin said he didn't die and there was a mix-up

Comrade Anthony Okechukwu did not die at the protest ground. He was not shot by the soldiers. He died in a motorcycle accident.

What we can substantiate is a news report from Punch. Lagos State Government, Babajide Sanwo-Olu visited the victims who were injured. You can check here:

You can insult me till I expose fake news against you.

ALL THESE GONE IN LAGOS STATE.

1. Nigeria Port Authority Lagos - set ablaze
2. Orile Police Post, Lagos - set ablaze
3. Lekki Toll Gate, Lagos - totally destroyed
4. BRT Terminal, Oyingbo - New Buses set on fire
5. Television Continental, Ketu, Lagos - set ablaze
6. VIO, FRSC Office, Ojodu - FRSC branded cars, generators set ablaze.
7. BRT Terminal, Ojodu, Lagos - buses set ablaze.
8. BRT Bus at Berger - set ablaze
9. Lagos Television, Agidingbi, Ikeja - shut down
10. Recreational Center, Oregun, Lagos - set on fire.
11. Oba's Palace, Lagos - burnt to ashes. His scepter of authority seized.
12. Sanwo Olu Mother's House, Surulere, Lagos - set
ablaze
13 Kings college on fire
14. Many lives lost already to the protests all in Lagos and south west.
15. Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island Lagos burnt
16. GTBank Branches burnt down
17. AccessBank Branches burnt down
18. Channels Television shut down
19. Ajeromi Local Govt Secretariat
20. Lagos-Island Local Govt destroyed
21. Lagos-Island East LCDA Secretariat set on fire
22. Lagos Mainland Local Govt Secretariat Destroyed
23. Ibeju Lekki LCDA Secretariat destroyed
24. Sanwoolu's Uncle's house on Lagos Island

Still counting....

Several heritage buildings and private properties burnt down and you still believe this is about protest or fall out from Army's shooting... Someone or people somewhere have declared war on Lagos State and by extension on Nigeria.

Now they want YORUBA to RONU...
They are asking why TV stations like AIT, Channels, Arise TV and STV were not attacked.
They are saying TVC was attacked because it is owned by a Yoruba man.
What a stupid narrative.
Like I have maintained, I don't support destruction of properties and I am also against killing of defenceless Nigerians.
However, instead of this nonsensical ethnic sentiments they are trying to whip up, methinks these people should rather blame those soldiers who went to Lekki to shoot at protesters and those who sent them.
They should blame those who switched off the light and CCTV cameras at Lekki Toll Gate before the soldiers carried out that barbaric act.
They should show empathy for the loss of lives and consider the injured who are still in the hospital.
They should face reality and accept the fact that TVC was not attacked because it is owned by a Yoruba man.
Apart from TVC, there are other major TV stations in Lagos owned by Yoruba persons.
Like AIT, Channels, Arise TV and STV, these other stations are on DSTV and are doing well. Why were they not attacked too?
1. MITV is owned by Muri Gbadeyanka.
2. Galaxy TV is owned by Steve Ojo.
3. Plus TV is owned by Kayode Akintemi.
3. ONTV is owned by Tajudeen Adepetu
Were all these stations attacked?
Yesterday too, The Nation newspaper was attacked.
Why were PUNCH and TRIBUNE offices not attacked? Or Punch and Tribune are not owned by Yoruba persons again?
Methinks those who have incurred the anger of the people should rather admit and seek forgiveness instead of whipping up ethnic sentiments that will cause further problems.
That your YORUBA RONU narrative won't work this time.
You people did not ask Yoruba to Ronu when your Tinubu was spearheading election rigging against fellow Yoruba sons and daughters in Ekiti and Osun States in 2018.
You did not ask Yoruba to Ronu when in 2011, your Tinubu opted for Tambuwal from Sokoto State as Speaker of the House of Reps instead of Mulikat Adeola Akande from Oyo State.
Asking Yoruba to Ronu now that the personal political interest of your Tinubu is affected is a waste of time because as for me and my family, we are not interested in your political YORUBA RONU.
My name is Lere Olayinka and I'm here on top of Oke Agbonna in Okemesi Ekiti, having a very important meeting with the Irunmales. You can come and join me if you wish

I observed their WhatsApp status and found out the truth.
Yorubas are not bad as my people do mistook them sometimes.
well I won't blame them because if you use the opinion of nairaland Yorubas to judge ehhh you'll make a mistake

since last election I stopped judging Yorubas with the opinion i got on nairaland
like they make us believe
Tinubu is not even popular among Yorubas his influence ends in Lagos.

I noticed that they invaded nairaland trying to turn it into tribal wars but I'm happy real Omoluabis are not falling for it
checkout all of them they're all Buhari supporters from A-Z
the earlier Yoruba nation starts disassociating themselves from them the better.

Op kudos to you.

You will live long for this words you drop.
Yorubas should know their enemy.
They should stop accusing igbos on anything when their enemies are within and living amongst with them.

It sadden my heart that seyi tinubu could be used against their own people.

Tinubu was warned to the kind of people he is dining with yet he gave a deaf ear.

Tinubu days of reckoning is here.
As for buhari and other evil northerners their own is coming.

Without Tinubu there will no National Opposition. Tinubu has paid his dues. He has the right to aspire to be President of this country. He is more than qualified.

No one has the right to attack his businesses. Criticise him all you want....... What you don't do is to harm him physically. And you expect people not take the attack personally? And you expect people not to defend him?

The person that gave the order to shut down the light is Lagos state government.

The tollgate where the shooting happened is a subsidiary of LCC owned by tinubu.

To be candid the protest was targeted against the Yorubas for obvious reasons, Oba of Lagos palace was invaded because of the Lagoon statement he made against the igbos, the attack on perceived Tinubu's property and his subject maybe justifiable but on the oba of Lagos is an aberrant which should be a clear message of retaliation by some perceived sentiment, even that went far ahead for disgrace pasuma and Sowore, what was their crime exactly? for showing solidarity to the the protesters? I guess the BRT buses also belong to Tinubu, NPA, GTB etc also belong to Tinubu?

People are asking for a better life, all ur little brain could fathom is "Yoruba, Igbo, yhen yhen yhen."

Lord bless you ... May you live long to see good things for saying the truth

I repeat
God bless Yorubas and Yoruba land
the real Omoluabis knows this and I have alot of them as business partners

Yinmu. They are now Yorubas not Yerobas you call them. And I guess your moniker also depicts as a Yoruba, abi?

You can confuse your ilk, but you can't confuse us. We see through your smokescreen.
