Hello Good People,

Please I'm about to start the process. I have a cousin who's a Canadian Citizen. Our mothers are siblings but she grew up in my parents house so she is more or less my mother's daughter. Can I indicated her as a sibling when applying? She has no issue with this and is willing to support.

No, she is not your sibling.

Thank you because I've been worried if I should indicate it. My mom adopted her when she was 2 years old (Even though there are no legal documents to prove it). She lived with us her entire life until when she left Nigeria to study in Canada 8 years ago. We both have photos and correspondence to prove it.

Hello house,

I have worked in a company for 10years however I have just requested ref letter for my current role. Which I've been on for over 3years. Not mentioning the other roles since I never put them in my work history. Is this fine or I have to get a full work ref letter. Note roles are in different NOCs

Any one?

In other to prove sibling relationship, usually you will have to submit birth certificates for both you and your sibling. Typically, your birth certificate will show who your parents are. Does your cousin have documents indicating that your mum is her mum?

If you already got your reference letter showing just your last 3 years at work, then that'sfine. Your other work experience will be shown in your personal history. Just make sure the reference letter you got covers at least 3 complete years. Cheers

I think he would have had to be adopted by your Parents/Mum for you to claim he's your sibling. Without it, I'm not sure claiming him for points will be successful

There is actually no program I know of you can go for without an experience that's why it's called a skilled worker program. You can go through the school route
Thank you for response. Since I have little of admin duties experience during NYSC. it can't count right?

She doesn't have a birth certificate but when she was leaving the country, her date of birth affidavit has my mother's name. Does that suffice?

In order to claim sibling points, you have to answer these questions
!) does your birth certificates bear the same parent name
2) Is she a PR. IF yes, when submitting, did she put your name down as a sibling?

i will advise that you do CIMA exams since you studied economics. That will give you 2 or more certificates. At least , it will boost your score, although not having 3 years experience will make your scores low, but the focus here is to find ways to increase your score. you can also consider going for french classes for TEF to boost scores
Jaycenvirtualse:
Hello everyone please I need your advice on what program to go for. I am kind of confused. I studied Economics but do not really have an experience. I only have my NYSC where I did little of admin duties. I feel its not much of an experience. I haven't been able to get a job since then. My questions are as follows:

What program would you advice me to go for based on the above?

Secondly what program would you advice someone with no experience to go for?
Thanks.

NYSC experience count, but to meet up with the current score, you would need two or more certificate or maybe a masters as well as minimum of CLB 7 in French.
Modified: didn't know it has been answered above
