My COY recently started an e commerce business and delegated it’s management to me.

I’m trying to read up on it but still quite clueless. They said I’d get some training but I want to get ahead of things and prolly get wider intel. on this project.

I think there will be a secured admin Portal. You will be uploading product details that will be viewed by site visitor, your can also be tracking transactions. When someone sends a message to your site, you will view it and inform higher management of it. These are some of the stuffs you will be doing. I built a web application for a financial institution last month and handed over an admin Portal for some of these. You might also be required to authorize some transactions manually which might not be so secured if automated. But I think with a good software documentation from the developers, you have no problem. It's basically something you can call the developers and ask questions because my clients do that often especially if there's a very cordial relationship between you guys. So chill, it's not rocket science
