No Body Should Attack Igbos And Non Yoruba In South West by Nobody: 7:27am On Oct 25, 2020
The evil carnage and chaotic situation that occurred through out the southwest and other Yoruba region is not the fault of anyone except the Yorubas, it was carried out by no-one except Yoruba, it is the Yoruba fault and they should take responsibility for it. This is the time to lick our wound and come back stronger, re-strategise and repair our cities.

Messages have been passed around among Yoruba whatApp groups saying non-indigenes and enemy of Yoruba leaders are the cause of havoc and burning in whole of south west coupled with the video of Yoruba extremist Adeyinka Grandson, which beg for this topic.

But there is a saying "There is no smoke without fire" in as much I don't want southern unity with non Yorubas, but there is no way such can happen because every Nigerians have the right to be anywhere they like, igbos can be in Lagos, Fulani can be anywhere in East, it is every Nigerian fundamental right.

Igbos always ask these questions, why don't Yoruba always attack Hausa?
1. Hausa have been in Yoruba land centuries before the igbos
2. What is worse than physical violence to Yoruba man is verbal violence and disregard for his culture and traditions
3. Hausa man dont attack unless you attack them, most Hausa/Yoruba fight is caused by a Yoruba man trying to cheat him.
4. Hausa don't call Yoruba land no man's land

With these factors, I will say Hausa are good neighbours of Yoruba and we share more in common with them than any non Yorubas.

This is wake up call to all Yorubas, what happened this month should serve as lesson to us, we have been played multiple times, from Alimi/Afonja, Awolowo/Akintola and now Tinubu, the same pattern happening in our eyes, this is not the time to blame anyone, it our FAULT and we should take the full RESPONSIBILITY. We should have learned from how the non - Yoruba pushed the Yorubas states almost to state of no return, we were lucky this time around, we must never let it happen again, we must protect our leaders at all cost, whether they are bad or not, we are not the messiah of Nigeria non the sophisticated big thinkers, we are Yorubas and the interest of our people should come first.

Why do you think they were unable to protest in Abuja? Is Abuja not where Buhari stays? Who commands the soldiers? Is it Yoruba leaders? So why the heck did they not move to Abuja? The only answer to this question is the knowledge of Yorubas as accommodator and champion of Nigeria cause, that's the answer right there.

The era of accommodation and championing of Nigeria cause is over and should be discouraged throughout Yoruba states, no tribe is more Nigerian than the other, let Yoruba put their tribesman first, their leaders first, this time YORUBA ARE AT THE CORRIDOR OF POWER AND STILL HAVE CHANCE TO RULE FOR THE NEXT 8 YEARS! we should think! I don't blame other tribes for demonising our leaders, everyone is trying to survive in Nigeria, but the fault is on the Yoruba demonising their leaders while other tribes protect their leaders like EGG.

This for everyone who care to listen, afefe ti fe, ati ri furo adire. We know who hate us and we know who want to harm our leaders because they cant fathom the idea how powerful they are and how successful they are. Yorubas! we should stop talking about other tribes leaders, it is not our concern unless he holds a public office at national level, the NON-YORUBAS should repay the favour by not talking of our leaders, even celebrities that are not Yorubas or by extension of South West should stay clear of South West politics. Where has it ever happened that people don't talk about people. Wasn't it Tinubu that brought Buhari into power. How did the LCC lights go off and cameras taken off without Yoruba leaders

They placed themselves in those positions as human beings, and not as yorubas

They are being attacked because of their bad judgement as human beings not as yorubas

If Yorubas are being attacked, why isn't Obasanjo getting attacked

Please Park well. Quit the appeasement Bs

They all have a terrible sense of judgement and that's why they're under fire

Buhari can never tell any SS governor to join him in killing their people or SE governor and they'll consent to his plans

Their greed for toll gate money and for easy way out in handling a bad situation is the root cause of the problem. Almost every politician in APC have terrible judgement and extreme greed to do almost anything to get results. That's what happened their poor leadership skills in solving crisis and bringing solutions

Not igbo, yoruba or hausa

I find it pretty disgusting that after the connivance of the governor, the president and LCC, they still gathered together under their evil and cowardice font they called SW governor and dare to put it on the igbos.

I say this as a non-igbo

Akwaibom
Edo
Calabar
Rivers
Enugu
Anambra

Got torched in several places with wanton destruction and loss of lives and property yet these societies took responsibility than accuse innocent people. Tall about class

Y'all should have some decency to stop this nonsense

I stayed in that part of Lagos before the existence of the toll gate and not even once was the light ever put put. That toll gate answers directly to the state governor

Leaving the innocent face. The state governor and the president and LCC have poor management skills

If they wanted to do what they did, water or tear gas would have sufficed as better options. That's what happened when leaders don't go through strict training by life before assuming power. They can't make excellent decisions. Such is the case of Sanwo olu

See we know north is becoming a desert. Hence your tactics of begging for citizenship in the south. Water Resources Bill and RUGA are some of your tactics of backing that begging with statutes.

I am firstly an Oduan and lastly an Oduan without anything between. NIgeria is an identity and creation of the imperialist forced upon her black slaves and was flogged upon his skull to ensure he defends it.

Meanwhile, I am not oblivious of other people I share that space called NIgeria with for now. I understand that the Igbos betrayed the Yorubas in the past to seek favor with the desert north. I also understand that the Yoruba betrayed the Igbos during the war in return for their earlier betrayal. However, as things stands now, no Oduan will choose north over an Igbo man. For one I am 100% sure that an Igbo man will not come and burn my house or kill my family because of some mundane reasons. Of course, Odua land is among the most peaceful place in the world.

I mostly pass this type of thread, because I understand propaganda is one of the agenda that you people discuss in your Arewa meetings. But sometimes, you need to reply a fool so that he wouldn't feel wise in his sight.

U guys have disgraced ur tribe kpata kpata

A time were every youth stood there ground to ask for good governance in there states. All of a sudden some people started blaming others

South south, middle belt and co una dey see why Igbos they think trice to ally with this people.

Even the genuine protesters among dem are afraid to clear the air that its not a tribal tin.

Keep on disgracing ur tribe while Nigerians keep record.
If dem call una cowards, backstabbers and snakes now,una go dey vex..Thats if u are truly Yoruba
Any Yoruba man wey talk southern alliance is on his own.

Was it non indigenous persons that triggered loss of lives in Fagba too? *

When people make terrible decisions they should own their flaws and faults and not try to be sanctimonious blaming other people because they think it's their pride to not make mistakes. Foolish SW governors. All of them. Seyi Makinde is wiser than the rest of those fulls by far

A president calls you to agree with him to kill your own children and you agreed to it.

To a yoruba man verbal violence is worse than physical violence so a yoruba man will prefer the hausa over lgbos. Which one is verbal violence.

Your write-up is a mish-mash of truth, innuendoes, long-held misconceptions and propaganda. While I applaud your title, let me remind you that one reason the SW is ahead of the other regions is because of its open-door policy.

You also said Hausa had a longer history of interaction with the Yoruba which is why the two groups seem to bond better than Yoruba and Igbo.

You also said that the Yoruba do not like those that mock their culture and traditions and preferred physical violence to verbal violence.

I know you might be a youth. This is why we should all lend a voice to the call for a referendum so that if we find that we can no longer stay together as a people, we can splinter into our preferred ethnic nations.

I think this innocent but gone-wrong peaceful youth protests have further shown in bold relief that the inherent suspicions and distrust between the Igbo and Yoruba may not go away anytime soon as any action by the Igbo especially will be considered an attempt to score an advantage over the Yoruba while the northern oligarchy or aggressors are hero-worshipped either out of fear, Stockholm syndrome, prejudiced devotion or both at the expense of any form of southern solidarity.

If we can't and won't give peace a chance, then having a referendum will go a long way in letting the ethnics that make up this country decide on their futures.

But before then, my observation is that southern Nigeria will remain in deserving servitude until and unless the south decides its chains have become too heavy to bear.

We have 2 kinds of violence in Nigeria.
Hausa Fulani- Occasional physical violence.
Igbos-Non stop verbal violence.
Both types are bad in any society.

What happened in Lagos was spearheaded by intelligent bold folks that are tired of the rot in the system and decided to come out n protest but coward folks like you are hidding under ur mud house and spitting nonsense.

Your veiled bad blood towards ndigbo only shows the depth of your cowardice.
