Imo creativity is like having like a thousand ways of doing the same thing. Now I'm sure you watched Xavi, Iniesta, Pirlo even KDB now, what set them apart from other great midfielders too like Scholes, lampard, Gerrad and co? Their ability to create chances, to open space right in the heart of the opponents half. Their players who can read the game very differently from others. I mean Xavi and Pirlo could see an opening three or four passes before the ball could they ball even got to them. Iniesta draw two or more players to him thereby creating a vast amount of space for his teammates to exploit and then they had Messi too, who also had this gift too and knew when to make his runs. The three of them would tiki taka their way in an opponent's defense. Now let's be honest which of our midfielders offer these qualities. No diss to them but they just pass among themselves through out. Most of the times we actually move forward, Messi drops deep to make those forward passes, either he dribbles to find space or he spots that run from Alba or Fati. Sometimes he drop a pass and move quickly expecting it back immediately and Cout of FDJ just dances back and forth with the ball, why do you think he always loved playing with Suarez? That understanding was there, same with Neymar, same with Iniesta, Alba and was too with Busi but I don't know for that one again.

That midfield pairing need players more determined and skilled, IMO alena(shooting, forward play & pressing), Puig(creativity & pressing) and pjanic(deadballs, creativity & shooting) offers 10x than what busquet & dejong offers, and will make Messi’s job far more easier

As for coutinho, he’s only playing every match due to the likeness Clownman has for him, dude missed a simple header from fati’s cross that should have given barce the lead, and ended up offering little to the team.

Las las, due to this coach sentiment, i ain’t even hoping for any trophy this season.

Isn't it funny that all it took to reveal Busquets laziness was a young Valverde?

I'm kinda disappointed in De Jong too. I was expecting a super midfielder, but, he's just a decent player. We don't even know his role. Is a free midfielder? Or what?
That midfield lacks pace and intensity. No pressing. No creativity.

It's funny that Messi is the only starting creative player.

The wings too have been left dormant. Because Koeman is either fielding wrong players there or benching the right players.

I like the optimistic approach you guys are having towards barca. However, it wouldn't end well if we set our eyes on unattainable targets and expectations this season based on what we have on ground.

Barca's case was just like the #Endsars Nigerian issue, the message of bringing drastic change has been lost while still in transit. We were all calling for a change to how things were done, Messi led that call for change but instead of getting the message, he was termed ,"Traitor", "Betrayer" and as such the distraction took hold.

Of all those changes we all spotted and clamoured for then, how many has been effected? The new coach has done nothing differently from our last two coaches in my opinion.

In a nutshell, my point is that we shouldn't be expecting miracles from this present setup, they will try their best but even that might not be enough to give us the UCL, La liga or Copa del rey, but I know they will gel as the season goes on, my prayer is that we don't get pushed out of the top four at the end of the season because teams like Getafe, Atletico etc are not smiling ooo.

Just hope Koeman learns from this and does better in the next game, even if it's to change formation. Don't care if it affects FDJ and Cout. But season still dey start and I still get hope for this team, we can get better I swear. See for 2015/16 we started badly too, still lost the first el clasico too 3-1, but we got better and won the treble, same with Bayern last season too. Time still dey for much better things to happen.

Lenglet is such a liability in big matches. People abuse pique but lenglet isn't even half of the player umtiti was in big matches.

I've never in my life seen a coach who has immense talent on the bench but leaves them till the 80th minute.
Pedri is a fantastic lad but had no business playing that game, at least not as a starter.
Dembele playing 90 minutes would have stretched Nacho/Vasquez a whole lot.
Phil should have been substituted since the 60th minute.
So Fati can play big games and Puig cant play??

I’d like to make a case for Pedri here, he didn’t play rubbish tbh...The blame is all Cowman’s fault...He had proper wingers but decided to bench them and put young inexperienced midfielders in those positions. I don’t expect the fvcktard of a coach to succeed in Barca.

I hope he gets the boot soonest...

Rebuilding and making mistakes led Man U to where they are now...A big team like Barca can’t afford to waste time on stupid coaches, else you’d find yourself slugging it out with relegation teams. This giving someone time almost led us into relegation during van gaal’s stint. I smell another Van gaal in Koeman.

yeah , pedri had an okay game in such high profile match. i liked his touches and turning.
