I agree with you that the worth of the equipment stolen by the man is unlikely to be close to N1.2bn. But please, LUTH and other teaching hospitals in Nigeria are worth more than you think.

I use God beg all of una, please this is all a set up. First we heard that it was drugs they found in his car yesterday (26/10/2020). Now the narrative has changed after they went to ransack the poor man's house at midnight (that office desk was not in his car initially) , while his kids were home.
This man is a good, selfless man and won't steal such. All of una forget say na police matter be this (we are not alien to their brutality)

You see, the government isn't always bad. Sometimes, they do important things for the people, but the middlemen effect is the reason why we the masses don't get to enjoy those things.

A good example is the COVID-19 palliative issue. The minister kept stating that they have shared palliatives across the country, but everyone said she was lying, not knowing that the governors and the other middlemen involved are the ones who kept the palliatives for themselves.

As for the hospitals, poor management and bad maintenance culture are the problems. The equipment and the expertise are there.
