2) He talked about social influencers and the damage the SM is causing. He did not ask for it to be regulated. He said that something should be done about it. 3) He talked about changing Nigeria for the better through the elections. How many influencers are spending time to educate the people on getting their PVCs? How many are trying to make efforts to ensure that the uneducated in the society know the dangers of selling their vote in 2023

Bros, the protest did send a strong message to the government, but it went about the wrong way. There was no plan, and there was no leader.

Instead of every musician and influencer passing his own message on SM, they can team up and support a clear cut plan. We cannot be fighting for a better Nigeria, and still be fighting for those that are spoiling it

There are no government buses currently working, for fear of being attacked. Roads are blocked because policemen are scared of being attacked.

Like I said, maybe I didn't understand him clearly, but I haven't found any reason to see him get roasted

I am not in anyway defending Desmond entirely. He's still a party man

But the roasting he got on SM, especially from celebrities got me wandering.

I remember a thread where a guy was supporting the looting of palliatives on Twitter. He kept on laughing until he started shouting that hoodlums were looting his father's estate and he needed help.

I support peaceful protests, even till tomorrow. But the moment it starts to deviate into looting, destruction and breakdown of law and order, we should dissociate ourselves from that.

Innocent people lost their worth to hoodlums. How can someone call those hoodlums "children, and people are attacking him?

And yes, something needs to be done about the circulation of fake news and hate speech being thrown around.

It’s actually this woman that said Youth are junkies that deserved all the dragging available in this world.

Meanwhile the woman that said Snake swallowed money was a civil servant working in Neco. She wasn’t even a politician.

Even this issue of Cacovid palliative is one that has been distorted plenty with the govt hoarding palliative. While some local rep/politician might have hoarded the ones given to them to share, it’s not the same with the warehouse broken into.

This palliative narrative started when one warehouse was discovered and looted in Lagos. Funny enough, the warehouse belong to BUA who is a member of Cacovid. Remember that Cacovid is a coalition of private individuals, private companies and the FG. The biggest donation was made by FG and Dangote - 2billion naira each.

Those items were delivered to BUA warehouse in mazamaza in late September and if you check Lagos State Agric handle on Twitter, you will see they actually mentioned they will be rebagging the items that belong to them at the BUA warehouse and they have even started sharing to people as seen on their Twitter timeline. Most of the items looted at that warehouse belongs to Cacovid which they intend to distribute to other states.

That’s how the story of government hoarding palliative started trending on Twitter and before you know different people started dropping different location as venue where COVID palliative as stored (most which turned out to be private business anyways) and that’s how the massive nationwide looting started.

It got so bad that people even looted Psychiatric hospital in Calabar, one even looted signpost in Taraba. What started as “Govt is hoarding palliative” fully denigrated into nationwide looting of both private business and govt institutions. Our own Griffon here is one of the casualties of such.

I remember trying to correct someone here that Tinubu doesn’t own Oriental Hotel and the adult “child” was busy glorying in his misinformation. I’m happy that those looters didn’t visit his house, I wonder how he would’ve felt.
