Hello House,

Please I would like to know for someone that started masters program this fall without funding but have paid tuition and health insurance fee for one year. Hope I won’t encounter any issue during my visa interview?

Good dear all.
Been a silent reader and sincerely, I have learnt a lot in such short time.
Appreciate to everyone for the insights.

I need advice on my SOA.
I'm self-funding and I have my funds in Axamansard money market (been saving up for almost 2 years now)
Do I have to move the funds to my regular savings account or I should get a statement from the Axamansard.
Thanks.

Can someone help me. please!!!

Is it enough if I have a statement of account of 2.7M?

Or, must it be something like times 2 or X3 of the 2.6M?
Please, I look forward to hearing from anyone

They might not ask for bstatement

If you are planning for fall 2021, this is the best time to start putting your application materials together. I advice you start looking for schools.
You will find many universities with funding opportunity, and I think ideal masters would be MA Communication with concentration in areas that align with what you plan to do after graduation.
All the best!

Yes, move your fund to your regular account. And be sure to explain that to the VO if per adventure he/she starts jacking your SOA looking for lump sum.

ULLafayette has MS in communication that funding opportunity but you have to take TOEFL and do very well. You can search for other schools and spread your tentacles real well. Good luck

It depends.

Most schools require or recommend the SAT. Some claim to be test optional, but will hold it against you if you dont submit test scores. If you are applying only to top schools and no HBCUs, then you won't need an evaluation.

I haven't seen anyone use their NECO results, but I think you can use it. The problem with NECO is that they rarely give As, so even the best students have average transcripts.
drDoom3 can I pm you?

How much is in the account? What is the duration of the program? If personal funds cover 1 year of study, where would additional funds to complete the study comes from? While moving the funds to his regular account, these questions should be answered. Within just 3 minutes, the VO will consider these and weigh his credibility along.

I think the bolded shouldn't be a problem as even American students couldn't take the test as a result of its cancellation.

All of these do not show that you have any connection with the school. From all your factors, I'd advice you stick to relationship with your professors.

Go on the research area webpage of your chosen program. Search and pick a research title that you feel you'll be comfortable talking about (Since you've chosen the school at this point, you just gotta pick one even if you fancies none), read the overview for better understanding and reach out to the lead researcher/professor.

Please do some research on the topic before reaching out though. If you are lucky, the prof will reply you with some of the milestones already achieved and a snippet into what they are doing next (you're already having conversation with your prof and you also have key info for your next interview). However, in the case that you didn't receive a response, you just have to hold-on to the information you dug up from your research (the overview, your findings and how you think you can improve the research team) for your next interview.

For your next interview:
* The Research title (Do not pick USArmy or NSA funded research. E get why)
* Know the Professor name
* You have been invited to join the research team
* Summary of
The Research overview
Your findings and how you intend to improve the team when you join them.

I assumed your focus is Cybersecurity. Reason for the italicized in the first bullet.

Be concise and confident during the interview.

P.S. You won't look confident speaking about fabricated info. So please do some research.
Hello, my school has a partnership with thee airforce base, air force research institute and some other higher institutions In it's environs, where you can take some elective courses. I plan on incorporating this in why I choose the sch. I hope it won't be a problem considering the military and nasa stuff you mentioned. Thanks

Good day guys,
I have my F1 visa interview coming up next week.
My concerns are I only applied to one university, and I got admission with full funding.

If I am asked by the VO how many sch I applied to
and how can I defend myself

Is due to the switch I guess the first two schools are asking you to take that course due to is mandatory for that course you want to study.
The first two is there any funding
The fourth school sounds good but hope the school has good standing.
kemmystree2015:

Mine is for Masters. I have a Bsc and Masters in construction but I want to switch to IT.
1st school gave provisional admission and states on I20 that I must complete CS503/500
2nd school states similar course prerequisite
3rd School states a diversity tuition waiver+ scholarship of $8400. Tuition balance is $16k but no prerequisite
4th school gave $500 off and GA is usually in second semester. No prerequisites. Tuition only is $9k.

My Questions: which of the above has a higher chance based on funding, conditional admissions and switching fields.
Thank you

Get ready to answer why another bsc, why not a master's degree.

They all have good standing. Which of them increases chances for Visa? The ones with funding? Does prerequisites and conditional admissions push for Visa chances too?
Thank you

Of course you have to mention two or three other schools (rehearse the names in your head before going) and with your full funding you are almost there so relax and prepare for your interview
Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 15 by Empireman96: 6:09pm On Oct 31, 2020
I was denied visa in January this year, I was posed to reapply before Covid-19 happened. My school wrote to me few days ago asking me to defer the admission to spring 2021 and the school resumes on the 13th of January.

So before I accept to defer I would like to ask how possible is it for me to get early appointment date preferably in Lagos. Let's say btw 1-15 December?

It takes a second to apply to another school and another wink. Whether you get admission is another thing but that solves that part
