I really pity police officers if you see a video where a police officer was killed you'll cry for him ehhn. I can't say it serves them right bit I pity them though. But at least what happened has stopped their unnecessary searching of vehicles.

I was even told about one who stabbed in the eye before being gruesomely killed. And I saw one who was being hitting in the head with planks until he died. They were even burnt alive in Ibadan

Now you people can get a sense of what it feels like to have someone coming after your life like SARS did to Nigerian youth. Despite the fact that you have guns to protect yourself, you are this scared, now imagine the youth without any weapon in their hands and being constantly harrassed by SARS. The current atmosphere in the country has given people a sense that police is not your friend and you people are scared of the repercussion from that sentiment. The same way the SARS operatives gave a sense that every Nigerian youth is a Yahoo boy and the youth were scared of being victims of such criminal profiling when they see SARS.

Its a gruesome and pathetic sin and May God avenge all the deaths of the innocent people killed by thugs. Those thugs are ritualist parading themselves as thugs, am sure some body parts of some police officers will be missing. Rip to all of them.

I really give kudos to the youths of this generation infact they ve earned my respect for life. Watch how the entire police force will become so reformed even usa police can then be compared with ours. Many still don't understand the change that just came to this country because of the end sars protest. Fine some lives were lost but even the freedom you enjoy today alot of blodshed came with it, oh what u thought the whites just woke up one good morning and gave up all their slaves? Some police lives were lost and citizens too but now the police know better than to even arrest without a valid warrant now. No effcc will even dare knock ur door without a warrant, no police will dare ask u to bring ur phone, coz they know another protest is already booming all it takes is less than 20mb data

Now, there is mutual fear. This should lead to mutual respect. Police IG should apologize to Nigerians for the way they have mistreated us all through the years rather than asking them to defend themselves. Then promise that it will not repeat itself. The first sign of true change is that they should stop extortion motorists. The second sign is that bail should be truly free. The third sign is to stop demanding for mobilization money before they address an issue. Then Nigerians will be friends with police.

It will pass. These events in the past few weeks have really opened our eyes to alot.

Everywhere, tension seems to be on the decline, except in Oyigbo, where the army, prompted by the Governor, is routing recalcitrant elements the governor claims have been wreaking havoc in the state.

Now, it is no mystery the people at the recieving end of Wike's anger, what is indeed near mystery is the quietude from the East.

In addition, characters like Fani Kayode, Reno, Deji
and indeed Wadata Plaza, who pride themselves as the ultimate defenders of Ndigbi have been eerily silent!
Even Ohanaeze Ndigbo is quiet!

The reason behind this inactivity isnt far fetched, there is no way they can attack Wike without costing their preferred party some loses. In essense, they value the interest of party over and above the lives of Ndigbo. What then sets these crop of character apart from the devil himself?

This is an ongoing onslaught, yet, they dare not speak about it. They cant wait for it to pass over as though it never happened so they can carry on insulting the president, Tinubu and APC.

Ndigbo, use your tongue to count your teeth!
I totally agree with you. Wike is a tyrant and every reasonable Rivers indigene doesn’t like that modafucka. Very tribalistic and useless man.

beg the police for what? i prefer the vigilantes to police because they do the job better and they do not collect bribes. I am glad they are now scared because they use to feel like alpha and omega.

The fact that mobs were able to burn down 205 police stations nationwide shows the uselessness of our policing situation. This would have been impossible if our police had been properly funded and equipped. No proper riot gear, no rubber bullets, no pepper spray, no tear gas. Nothing, nada. All police men could do was to run away and leave the police stations behind to be destroyed.

Yes there's need for reform of the police force

There's also need for reform of most other services

It's not very likely that there'll be any meaningful reform if the police force continues to be controlled at the federal level

Policemen are humans and do not deserve to be maimed

It is unfortunate that the many will suffer for the atrocities of the few

Wherever you are, it is not enough to say you disagree with a corrupt system you work in. Expose the hidden corruption in your department before the exploited come for all of you

Idiot. They are not suffering from attrocities of few. They are suffering from attrocities of many, Get your facts right

Re: We Can’t Walk Freely Again — Police by victorian(f): 11:33pm On Oct 31, 2020
There was one that happened In mushin.. The DPO, hid on top of one upstairs and was spraying protesters Bullets. Many died while some boiz were watching him from afar.
Immediately his bullets finished! Come and see how the remaining boiz alive rushed to the building. Drag the DPO, downstairs, beat him blue blqck with hammer and all sorts of iron. After beating him and tied him to a moving keke, he was dragged on the rough roads, his uniform torn, as his body was so bloody..after then they stopped and butchered him into pieces with dagger and cutlass . The crowd was so angry with him.. After butchering him and throwing his body in a cart.

The mob then head straight to his home to wipe out his family, cos he lives around the area.
If not for timely interventions of neighbors living in his home. They would have killed his family and burn down the house.

And I ask this question? Why kill and spray bullets on innocent people protesting in his neighborhood? What kind of evil spirit took over his memory?
I shudder when I watched the video online.

It was so bloody.
