because they know who's got their back.

Rubbish, so none of them understand the meaning of delegated authority. The panel which was set up by the State government has the full powers to investigate the subject matter!

I believe their reason for refusal is off. If only the State can summons the military... then the Panel can because it is State appointed. I was more expecting them to say only a FG panel can summons them . A State should never be in the position to summons a Federal/National agency. Lekki shootings should be investigated by a Federal Panel.

Now they can talk about right.
But when dey were shooting innocent protesters nothing like right.
Nigeria government only obeys when law favor them. But disobey when it do not favor them.

They should get ready to disregard summons from ICC. Killing unarmed citizens waving flags is the worst possible mistake they could have made. They will be called to account. This one will NOT be swept under the carpet.
Even oga at Aso rock will answer for the Lekki killings.

When you are told to stay out of politics and civilian administration, you refuse.

This is the result.

The miliitary, particularly the army is today being dragged through the mud by divisive, sectional, corrupt and unpatriotic politicians to suppress democracy and the people they are meant to serve.

So unfortunate.

Emotion aside, the army is right on this one. It's a slap on the Nigerian army to appear before a civilian panel.

The other day, the army facility was invaded without a prior notice. Please let's respect the military.

what are you saying self?
What if strange bullet touch any of your family member during Army shooting at leķki tollgate....

Will u ever drop this kinda statement?

Army is just like civilian..... They different between Army and civilian is Gun...

Why can't they appear at court and defend themselves.

Since Our invincible Buhari have given order to investigate. They don't have any right to say #No.

I doubt if anything positive will cone out of this investigation. Based on recent revelation, it's obvious Lagos state governor knows what happen but playing politics with it. May God help us in this country.

In case you don't know, the Commander-In-Chief of the Armed Forces of Nigeria is a Civilian so dead this Army superiority over civilians nonsense. That is one of the reasons men in uniform feel that they are above others who don't wear that uniform. It is one of the reasons for their display of irresponsible behaviour

Chaii, chaii, years of maltreatment has really reconditioned the minds of an average Nigeria to think upside down.

The military is not above the constitution of the country. The constitution is a civilian ruled constitution and not the military.

Lagos state setup a panel with the full authority of the state and even the FG to investigate the killings.

The panel is acting on behalf of the state govt and FG here.

The panel can invite anyone, anybody. Come on, what kind of race is this na? Why are we like this?

This is why I don't scream when other races abuse us. We are not even helping out at all. The military should be loyal to the constitution and not to individual. F uck this country aswear

This is an investigation against the army which the presidency has given the panel the go ahead. At this moment the panel has the backing of the president, is the army above the president.

U should know that the army is not above Nigeria or the Constitution.

I don't blame the military, I blame the puppet Sanwoolu who foolishly gave the army the chance to unleash terror on his people.

Sanwoolu invited the army, they shot at armless protesters and now he expects the army to come and start telling tales in front of a panel he constituted......smh.

That guy Sanwoolu is not even fit to be a local government councillor

So what you're saying the army only recognizes and respect the army??
So in the case where the president is a civilian would they still be answerable to him??
This is a democratic setting my friend, not a military regime. Law is law, uniform has no ifluence on it.
