When the boundary adjustment was done although the IMO state government challenged the adjustment the reason why they didn't really take it to heart was because cross rivers and rivers state was still part of the eastern region.

But u know the politics of then, that involves changing names of Igbo places. The real name of oyigbo is obigbo but it was changed to obigbo to reflect the state it was been zoned to.
