What feed are u using?
.
Hmmm, I am using New hope extra starter Professional 510. 0-2weeks old.
But I started introducing them to waterleaves when they reach 1week, I used to slice it into one feeding tray for them, they used to reject it at first, but now that's what they love most, even if you give them starter and Waterleaves at the same time, they will all rush the water leaves and leave the starter feed.

For weight issues on raising them u can start adding calcium early in their water or feed
Well said.

I was worried the first week too, I chat my mentor Noeloge82 about it, he told me never to rush and wait till when they are 1month old. They are three weeks old now and the weight is ok
You have nothing to worry about then. Let's just sit back and watch as they grow into big birds in no distant time.

By the way, are you planning of disposing them off or for breeding? (Just curious)

Thank you sir, I'll keep updating you .

I planned to buy more to make them 20 in total and rear them till maturity and sell them off.
someone told me I can sell them at 3-6 months. But I'll like to keep them for a year with my local turkeys

The person is quite right. Keeping them longer than the 6months mark is going to tell on your pocket & you certainly can't make your money back you would have used in keeping it that long (it's just like you saying you want to keep your broilers with your cockerels to a month). Moreover, I have a male foreign turkey in its 8months & 3 weeks weighing 23.6kg on last check.

Please what does it require to make feeds like finishers marsh? Is it truly less expensive than buying feeds? I have made research on how to do it? I saw protein requirements such as lysine and methionine, limestone, soyabean cake, oatmeal, and premix. Can one get all this in a market in Lagos? any boss here should please respond?

Then, how do you distinguish male and female poults. someone told me the two I have are males, I ask how he arrived at that, he said because they used to raised feathers and are behaving like real turkeys

is it possible to keep them for breeding purpose?
which one of them will I use for breeding? male or female?
is it the male foreign Turkeys that will cross the female local? or vice versa?
Will the offspring be exactly like foreign poults?

It's less expensive, if you are making very very plenty, also, you need to visit some1 who does it to see it practically. All the ingredients mentioned can easily gotten in marketz where animal stuff are sold. But remember you have to do some calculations in order to get an accurate proportion and scales for accurate measurement. Especially the premix, lysine and methionine.
You will also need to substitute certain ingredients not available in ur area with available ones.

In short, if ur farm is small, it's cheaper to buy.

it depends on so many factors :
availability of raw materials,
expertise
nos of birds to be feed.
etc

Good afternoon house, please I lost a bird last night/morning, some of them are currently weak now, they are not eating at all, always sleeping with head downward, I noticed they are pooing whitish poo. I don't know what to use.

try and contact a good vet, carry the dead bird lab test, birds hardly survive this disease, meanwhile try your luck with tetracycline ( red n yellow capsule)

Thanks boss, I went to vet complain the same was told it's Cocci, I should use Coccinor, I Begin the administration same day, lost another bird in afternoon another the following morning, went back to the vet shop, was told to go and bring the last one that just died for analysis, after checking and dissecting the dead bird was told that it's coccidiosis, that it has eaten deep into the birds that I should continue with the drug. I eventually lost another making 4 in total. But the rest are fine now.

I never knew Coccidiosis is this fatal and deadly

sorry for your loss, cocci is very deadly and evil thing about it that, you may not notice until it had gone far. give bitter leave extract from time to time to keep it at bay. Also try as much as possible to keep a clean litter, raise all feeds and drinking containers to the birds chest level. Good luck.

I hope this is not a joke u want to bath bird with soap and sponge, clean up your cage and put fresh shavings , clean your feeders and wash your drinkers and the dirty colour will change with time.
Make sure you give them anticocci for at least 5 days
Good luck

Hello everyone,

I got this chickens 5weeks ago for Sir Noe, I sincerely want to appreciate him for his time and prompt attention. I never met him in person, we negotiated on line and money was transferred. I got very healthy Chi chicks from him(All male). His sincerity is top notch. For those that are in doubt, this is an avenue to change your mentality and patronize him.

Kindly find attached

one of my broilers is not eating o, the neck is bent as if it was broken and it has something like boil on the neck, always alone and resting when others are rushing to eat... when I finally force it to stand up and join the others, it walks around with a tilted neck. This is really affecting it has it has difficulty eating and drinking...pls what do I do to it? they are 7 weeks old..

looks like you've got a case of Newcastle in your farm.since it's already 7weeks, best you slaughter it and help prevent it spreading to others as Soon as possible. also administer preventive drugs to the others

Unfortunately this is Newcastle and the probability of the neck getting straight is not guaranteed , just separate it from others
When was the last time u gave them lasota

Is there no immediate cure for coccidiosis? I’ve lost 5birds in just 3days?

I’m so heart broken.
Im giving them drugs but no improvement.
