Congratulations to you.May I ask how many months you have been a permanent resident of Dubai before you applied for an appointment date with the German embassy. Thanks

As at that time of application for appointment, 12 months, and about 1 week.

I think i prefer video lectures because they make it easier to remember. At least I remember the words ‘Lasst uns anfagen’ from the video I watched about 2 months ago lol.

Yes, I kind of realized learning random phrases here and there wouldn’t help. Then I remembered you professing your love for the language and proceeded to ask you here.

I’ll go through the Lingoli German and DW app tomorrow! Thanks a lot for your extensive explanation, sir Hadampson! You’ve been such a great help embarassed

I'm glad to be of help Brüder. When you start making progress in learning German, try to practice from time to time. It is very important to practice speaking if you learn on your own. Even if you don't have enough time, have a short practice periods throughout the week. As my mentor always say wiederholung. ist. der. Schlüsselfaktor. im. Lernprozess. which means repetition is the key factor in learning process. Use Goethe Zertifikat Deutsch üben. The drop box link contains übungen for A1 down to C2 level in each aspect.. Wortschatz, Lesen, Schreiben, Grammatik und Tipps, you will find everything there.

Click here to access Lingoni German playlist from A1 to B2 I think. Don't rush yourself, start from the first video. Make sure you understand it before you move to the next one. Combine it with Anja, her contents are so informative. After you have grasped the fundamentals, combine Easy German with the rest.

Bonus: Here are some websites where you can learn German

DW This is the mobile version of DW, the best platform to learn German.

Thank you once again Hadampson wink After reading through your last post and replying you yesternight, I headed over to Lingoni. Watched the first video and half the second video and learned a few words.

Ja, nein, vielleicht, Auto, der, die, das, im, lerne, lernen, Mann, Frau, Guten Tag, Guten Morgen, Gute Nacht, Hallo, Wo

Realized I was going a bit too fast and decided to concentrate solely on the first video tutorial and master it. That channel seems like such a help, thanks so much

Also caught myself pronouncing the words in the toilet this morning lol

I checked the dropbox link and saw really advanced German exercise there lol. I think I’ll complete Lingoni’s A1 course first before proceeding to the links. So I’ll take it one by one.

Hope to be flowing in German with you in four to six months lol. Thank you once again, boss smiley

hello, why are some people given maths problems to solve during their interview while some others are not?
and most of the maths problems are given to those going for Bsc.

I guess it's simply because you're a Fresher. A graduate has atleast proved him/herself by getting a degree

I handed over my passport, health insurance (Mawista) to the Germany embassy today here in Dubai and would be ready for collection on Monday morning.
I first sent an email for appointment on Sept 11, got a reply Sept 13 with appointment for Oct 7, and a decision mail Nov 3.
The problem is not our nationality but our Nigeria as a place!
It's sad and I pray you get the visa before scheduled exams for Winter 2020. A mate from Vietnam also got approval yesterday after applying in Sept.

Keep hopes alive!

You see what I was talking about. It doesn't end with y'all going to protest, the Germans are seeing current events in the country and regard the country as a dysfunctional place from where they can receive people. It's very political

Really, but I think it depends on the course you studying, some of this life science courses, doubt if you would be asked maths questions.

Thanks for this, I just wanted to confirm what I heard that one has to have been a permanent residential holder for at least 6months before applying to the German embassy.

For those conversant with the Uni-assist application process should please help me out..

How long does it take for Uni-assist to process admissions cuz I applied for 2 course since end September and I'm yet to either hear from uni-assist or the respective schools on the situation of the application

Secondly, I realised the "admission restrictions: NC frei" means there is no restrictions so you will be admitted once you have all the requirements and pass the test.. I can be corrected if I'm wrong please..

The attached doc show a school I want to apply, The website it was stated that there is not restrictions for admission but in the Uni-assist site it shows "orts-NC" instead of "NC-frei"

Noting that I'm being careful not to wast money, do you advice I still go ahead with the application?, Could it be a mistake or something?..

Thanks as counsel
