No, his sense of reasoning is justifiable.

Peter Obi was aware of the happenings in Awkuzu Sars during his tenure. The 40 murdered youths that were cast into the river happended under his gaze.

He knew James Nwafor so well, and was aware of his activities, but he looked the other way for obvious reasons.

Now, don't tell me he had no power over SARS as governor. Believe you me, if James Nwafor has killed any of Obi's sons, then you'll know he can do something.
