Well it’s a day I can never forget.
Forgive my English just in case it doesn’t suit well for my PhD holders here.
I was the Head Boy of my school(Basic Acadmey) maiduguri. On this day, I opened the gate for my 3friends to escape during school period to buy something,never knew they had other plans of carrying babes n unfortunately a teacher coming to school late that day saw them in town n reported to the principal. It happened on Friday n on Monday during morning assembly matter burst..... the punishment actually started with me. 12strokes on my bum bum in front of my many school crush ��.... after the flogging, omo my gf bck then wrote 3 love letters to me n sent it through her friend to my class.... it made me feel better sha��� the funny thing was that most of the students I do flog for late coming as a head boy where al happy seen me getting a full cup of my own medicine. I can never forget �‍♂️

If Mr. Olotu flog or Mr. Femi flog you for my school that year, you will receive sense.

I was personally flogged with koboko by Mr. Femi in the Principal's air conditioned office, on an afternoon I will never forget; reason: my name appeared in list of noisemakers.

I was in JS2 then, and that was my first ever koboko experience

Can never forget my first day in a new school when I entered SS1. As a fresher, I don't even have a chair to sit yet, so, I was just in a corner standing. There was no teacher and we were just getting to know ourselves.
Suddenly, one tall black teacher came in from the next class (SS2) and accused us of noise making. All those he found standing when he entered were the culprits. I was flogged along side others. The thing pain me because I believed we were all innocent.
I later got to know he'll be our chemistry teacher. Till I left the school, that experience made me hate chemistry.

But i nearly scattered the record when i was in jss2,when a teacher flogged me on my head..my eyes were so red

Chai i remember oooo, i was a bad boy during my Secondary school days but i remember this flogging by Mr Ishola way back then in Ansar Ud Deen Grammar school, Randle Surulere. I was flogged for what i didnt know anything about and i can tell you that since 1998 till now i still have that scar and the dude that accused me, i made sure i dealt with him and had to bring boys from my neighborhood to scatter the school and make a statement.. lol its kinda funny looking back now but thank God say man don repent from those crazy days......

I doubt if anyone wasn't flogged in Secondary School.

My dad was PTA Chairman and in my presence one day, attacked the teachers for not flogging the hell out of me that I was too playful.

The next two weeks was hell..they took turns flogging me for as little as anything. I nearly die....my mum will also add fuel when she sees the teachers by telling them that I hadn't improved at alllll.
They will start again....Oh God.

Me that grew up in boarding school(FGC); honestly, I can't recount the Cains I have received. Being flogged is a daily routine, esp. in my SS1.
We leave a jungle life there. The experience is nostalgic sha...

JSS1, I was only nine years old and to make things worse I looked about seven.
I didn't do my maths assignment because I hated maths. To make things worse, more than half the class didn't do theirs so I our teacher was angry. He told us to stand up and be coming out one by one to receive 10 strokes of the cane each, on our bums.

My classmates were already shaking, some had already started crying and the cane had not even touched them . It was at this point we knew that we were no longer in primary school.

It got to my turn, the man shouted, "Lie down on this table!" He started flogging, one, two, three, four, five. He paused, looked at me. I was not shaking, I was not crying. He continued, six, seven, eight, nine, ten. I got up and calmly walked to my seat. The teacher was shocked, he said, "This small girl you get mind oo."

What he didn't know was that my mum was a teacher and a disciplinarian. I done dey chop cane steady since small and there was no place I hadn't been flogged. Is it head, back, hands legs, under the feet? If my mum could see it, her cane could reach it.

At least one good thing came out of it because after that day, my rep in class increased.

Na touch your toe for my school you no go fit resist two strokes of Cain before you go burst out naso my PADI no do geography homework because he tot Mr oladipupo would not come around on Monday as he used to visit his family every weekend but unfortunately he came around even very earlier for his period naso my PADI won run pass window and caught by the Mr oladipupo himself and ask him why e is running away and he explained that he didn't bring his notebook and naso e come talk sey make everyone brings out his notebook and submit it asap although he used to collect his homework by Tues but my friend turn the Monday morning to a flogging session for almost 80 percent of us and almost everyone now hating my PADI for trying to run away at the first that he might not even brought up the homework stuffs if he was not caught ...Thank God I have my notebook and I gotta copy the homework from someone ASAP but most didn't get the chance they then put the blamed on my PADI

I remember a girl called Onome. Very quiet and peaceful.
That girl can chest cane for Africa. Dnt think it's a private school that i attended ooo(it's actually command day secondary school ojo), so imagine how dose wicked and nonsense soldiers flogged us as if we caused their financial/family problems.

No matter how you flog dis girl, she will never shake body or scratch. She was always the first person to receive beating anytime a soldier/teacher was to flog round. If she dare shakes her body to that stroke of cane, jst know that the whole class must cry. We thought she was possessed sef

I wasn't flogged in my primary school because I was loved by my class teacher but I received few strokes in junior secondary, but when I got to senior I made friends with some rouges we would rather leave the class for you.
I was a bully and would skip classes.
But I turned out just fine

E get one teacher wey flog me back then infront of the class. He gave me almost 24 strokes of cane.. So I come plan for him. I waylaid him after school, broke 7up bottle on his head and stabbed him 24 times.. The dude was crying like a biaatch..

I was a good boy when I was in secondary school. I was only flogged when the punishment was collective.
I also remember I was flogged once on assembly when we all planned not to pay for any excursion. We were each flogged six Strokes. O boy E no funny, but I managed to chest it sha. The girls were...... Lmao

I only cried once from beating in secondary school and I was in JS2.

This Bitch of a teacher would flog you if you got less than 15/20 in a test in all subjects not just the ones she taught

She would subtract the score you got from 15, multiply by 2 and that's what she would flog you. So if you got 10/20 in two subjects, your cane na 20.


My total cane was 34- one of the lowest strokes of cane in the class sef. But yet the thing pain me enter bone.

There was one boy called Ovie. Na e dull pass. He just dey get 0/20, 5/20. Na him flog there flog after me.

I nor know when I burst laf with the tears for my eye. There flog the boy so tey e fall inside dustbin

One thing I remember about the boy was that he was very artistic

Teachers didnt flog us at first until my mom told them we can very much be flogged especially me for being so stubborn. And so there was a day a female teacher flogged my eye and it bled, although she was reprimanded and suspended up till today I still have the reddish blood clotted spot in my right eye ball. I didn't like school because of the child brutality. and boredom in dealing with books. When I get home from school I deliberately forget about my homeworks and settle my mind to be whipped for not doing it while I engage in chasing flock of sheeps all round the compound or bird hunting in the Bush. But I'm greatful to realize school was good, but flogging is what made me hated school for a good time until I felt the need to become animal scientist. Flogging student is bad culture of white slave masters who saw Africans as monkeys that needed to be taught with sticks

It was a serious military battle between the students of MORET COMPREHENSIVE COLLEGE, IBADAN and Mr. Emmanuel Nworu. (Math Teacher).

I remember being gruesomely flogged by one of my maths teacher back then in secondary school
for an offense I didn't commit. It was so bad that I ended up with torn lips and swollen eyes, I was bleeding. Funny thing was I used to admire the said lady because she was light skinned and she so much reminded me of Michael Jackson (back then) in the song "they don't really care about us" which came out at that time.

Also, I remember my dad giving me a particular type of admirable calendar which she stole from me but I couldn't utter a word. Public schools back then, teachers were regarded as the ultimate.

After that incidence, I hated her with passion.

I still saw her recently when I went to use the ATM. Don't know if she couldn't recognise me but she sure gave some signs like she did. Boy don turn to man na, even wanted to offer her a ride but changed my mind cos deep down, I still carry that grudge of more than 20yrs...

I have been Introvert since day one from nursery to sss3 I was never flogged... why would you want to flog me nah... I don't make noise, I don't come late... just a normal on your own kid...
