I found all these candles in the living room of one of my clients, I would have showed you a picture of the room but there are personal beautiful pictures of them placed around.

Imagine FIVE CANDLES in a living room and this is how they do here. One might begin to wonder if they are witches or they attend White Garment church. It will be truely amazing to see them dance the Cele way. In a way, they have their own mysticism which in the medieval time would have been Gothic and dark but Modernization has made it alluring.

From inventing Halloween, to the big divide between Catholics and Protestants to irish mythology which includes Druids, Leprechauns, Mages..... to beautiful imaginary characters like Count Dracula which was first featured in Bram Stokers book. Bram had a house in North Dublin, one of my Clients relative bought the house, her family were deeply worried that house might be haunted, Hahahaha.

The candle thing isn't just here, even in the living room of the house I currently live in, there's a box that contains more than six different candles with alluring ingredients and smoke ranging from fruits aroma to different types of wood, there's a lot to pick from.
Babe was even telling me to buy one to light, I asked her isn't the bulb enough, she said it's Romantic.

My mum in Nigeria bought one and lighted it in the masters bedroom in Nigeria, she said when my dad got home, he became uncomfortable, she asked him why, and he said the candles reminded him of when we used to be very poor.
That's true, it's really hard for those we think are rich to litter their house with them. Rather heavy duty generator that is pumping out vicious and corrosive gas and noise will be regarded as wealth.

In January, one of the workers at the charity shop I was volunteering in then told me that, she could have as much as 20 candles on at a time, I was just weak.

Please guide me
I just got admission in DBS

Should I continue with it?
Is there racism there, and are there job opportunities post graduate students while studying?

I just came across this thread today

Will read from beginning till end before end of the day.

Thanks in anticipation

Congratulations on your admission.
Majority of students in DBS are the Indians, so no need to worry about R.
You have an equal fighting chance depending on You, what you study, grade and all....

You're welcome

Anyone needs a free haircut?
my guy is at Dublin 9... He's a student with professional barbing skills.

Anyone needs a shared room, please DM also.

I'm glad you enjoyed the thread.

My barber is going on holiday soon, if your barber is as good as you say, I will pay for his services.

Lmao. I believe becoming apparently "smarter" is inevitable if you're someone open minded in a civilized and developed society.

Why did you say that?

Reasons why I'd like to move to an English speaking country. I wouldn't want my English proficiency to suffocate while I struggle to learn other languages.

You keep getting more knowledgeable and you type better now. Before you left you weren't this intellectual, I guess. I've been following the thread since you started.

You are getting smarter each day, did your accent change too?

I guess it boils down to exposure and the willingness to learn new things and accept a new way of life too

Hahahaha... You're not serious o grin
Though OP has always been a voracious reader considering he talked about reading large chunks of newspapers and books. Notwithstanding, his perception about so many things and knowledge will continue to change cos' he's in a different environment. The more contact he has with new people/environment, the more enlightened he becomes and like someone said, OP is open-minded.
His exposure is only rubbing off, no stress, more adventures and interesting stories to tell. That brain will keep opening up and getting sharper unlike one country like that grin

We only have few years to live in this world, it's better to shine ya eyes and find the easiest country your budget can run Legally and Japka.

You can then stay under a bulb that never blinks and pray.

Well I started this thread here in Ireland. I started just before my exams and had to work with a plan. I was so busy with work, school, and other issues.....
The plan is that I don't go through what I write. I just type whenever I remember this thread and if I have pictures to upload. if you observe, what I write is mostly unedited, lots of mistakes and all. Time here is very very valuable. My place of work was giving me three days off, and I just got very uncomfortable because I could be making money. Besides this isn't a stressful job to require that number of hours off.

I don't read as much as I do before I came here, I still have lots of autobiographies lying around, I managed to finish William Wilberforce just before I left Nigeria. I still have Johnny Depp and Micheal Jackson to consume. I would have finished both of them if I was still in Nigeria. The only thing I consume right now are just articles on twitter and some comedy videos on Instagram. The twitter is very important to keep up to date with the parastatals of government here as they update regularly, and my classic new paper. Yummy.

I'm glad that you guys think I'm improving as you're the mirror I've got. It feels better to know ones making progress.

Great work here, @Chiggsglover, I want to ask if one can get these autobiographies in bookshops here in Nigeria, or do you just download the PDFs online?

Also, I'd love you to give some recommendations on books that are good and interesting reads based on what you've read over time.

Thank you
