To be honest, most of you newbies ask already answered questions. If y'all genuinely wanna study in Germany, Research is one quality you should exhibit. Most of what is needed is on the first page of this thread. People asking for requirements should understand that different schools have their different criteria.

The least y'all can do is to check DAAD website which has option filters to help you out.

b]Please I need your opinions on this interview question:[/b]

The applicant is going for a study course in bachelor that's not related to the study course he did in university tho he didn't finish the course but quitted in his final year to apply for a study visa...

How can he explain to the VO when asked?

PS: he has some certificates he obtained online that has to do with the study course.

Thanks as I await your response

2 ways
Option 1. Form A - this will use CBN approved rate to transfer from your local account to your blocked account. This will save you a lot of money as the rate would be lower than bdc. I have contacted some banks and I got an encouraging feedback from 2. I will be going to their branch on Monday to try it and I can update you as it goes.

Option 2. DOM account - source for euro from bdc, deposit it in your DOM account and do the transfer.

Thereality19:
Please can anyone who has successfully used the Form A update me with the bank they used to fund their blocked account.

I mean those who have recently used FORM A to fund their blocked account.

So I've been able to use Form A on Nov 11 and my money got to Germany Nov 13. I used Sterling. Also heard Zenith, FCMB can do it. Rate as @ transaction date was 462

Guru's in the house, with the way things are going, I wonder if its a crime to be a Nigerian.
I intend to travel to Turkey ,where I can get their resident permit in other to apply to Germany or other EU countries fulfilling all the needed requirements.
My question is as follows.
1, should I apply for bsc course in Turkey ? But my intended course in EU countries is MSC
2, if I apply for bsc in Turkey ,would that not affect my MSC in EU ?
Pls a simple advice or what I need to do needed urgently. Thanks
Note, I am currently attending the MSC online class here Nigeria @ Paderborn university.

Please does anyone know if German Embassy Lagos has resumed for VISA issuing duties? I think it's high time we started giving situational report of the Embassy.

On the website there is a ? symbol close to that field. Click on it and see the explanation of the meaning of DoSV courses which might not be relevant to you and better just leave it.

Leave it blank or put N/A. Doesn't apply to you.

House how do I handle a situation me conflicting information from the alien office and Lagos consulate....

The alien office responded to my email that they have completed processing of my application that I should contact embassy... I sent a separate email to embassy and called them the next day asking about my application status, they responded two days later that they are still awaiting answer from the alien authority.

Is there a mix up somewhere or this is normal? I have already completed my enrolment and I submitted it during interview. And I rightly informed them that my school has already started lectures for winter .

Send a copy of the email you got from the alien office to the embassy in Lagos, also try to send copies of your correspondence to each parties when next you email them. It’s easier to clarify such mix ups.

All the best

It depends. Some schools 'contracts' out handling of documents and qualifications to uni-assist, these are listed as uni-assist schools while others handles the entire admission process themselves.
Uni-assist charges 75 EUR per application as handling charges and if you apply to multiple schools, they will charge additional fees less than 75 EUR (30-40 EUR I guess). Applications handled by the University directly are usually free. However, final decision on your application is made by the school and not uni-assist.

Did not see your dm though. However, my interview was fine here. The interviewer only asked me "can I have your documents?".

Hi read through some of the pages of the thread, got some insightful opinions and I appreciate.
Am new to this visa stuff and would appreciate helpful answers to my questions.

Please I would love to know the process involve in gaining admission and getting a student Visa for an affordable college in Germany, I'm a HND graduate and I studied Banking and Finance, and would love to further my education, I would also appreciate an insight on the amount needed to make this happen, thanks

Go to daad.de

It is hard to get Msc admission with HND....focus on Bsc..... Try some Msc program but send an email to the course coordinators first before applying.

Hi everyone,

I plan on applying to ULM university of applied sciences in Germany for computer science bachelor’s degree, in the coming winter semester.
They said they want my certificates verified by Hochschule Konstanz Studienkolleg and not the German consulate general.

Meanwhile, Hochschule Konstanz Studienkolleg said all copies should be certified by a German authority or German notary which I believe is German embassy.

Also, I checked German embassy website and it was said that to certify my certificates I’ll need to come with my application from to the school, filled and signed. But their application has not started till April next year.

I’m kind of confused, I don’t know what to do.

Please advice me and help me out sir/ma

Looking forward to your response.

Thank you.
