Hello Experts,

I have gotten my visa. My start date is December 01st, which is orientation and it's ONLINE but my IN-PERSON classes start Jan 25th 2021. I am planning to travel to Canada late December/first week in January so I can quarantine before my in-person classes start

Please I hope i won't have any issues at the Port of Entry traveling after December 01st.

Hello Mantleouchtele,

You can even travel before Dec. 01. Orientation is also part of your school academic requirement and this is know by IRCC and CBSA at the POE. If you include the 14days quarantine period, you will find out that your traveling at this time is justifiable.

All the best

Hi Justmellow,

Thanks for your prompt response. I want to spend the holidays with family that's why I want to travel after Christmas and not before December 1st. Is it still Ok if I travel late December since my orientation on the 01st of December is online.

Good morning Honorables,

I want to make an enquiry

My program was for Fall 2020, so I didn't defer, I wanted to get my approval first bfor deferring.
So I got the APPROVAL & I deferred, and I just recently got my New admission letter (LOA) and other details for Fall 2021.

I have alrdy sent my Passport to VFS, (Thursday last two weeks)

My question now is,

Can i send my New Admission Letter (LOA) to IRCC now or wait till I get my Passport stamped

Thanks

cc: Chocs , Frankrobbn1 , JustMellow & Honorable members in house

Hello Lekiboboe,

At the stage, you're in charge. Don't need to update IRCC or your Gckey account because your DLI (number) still remains unchanged and formally recognized by IRCC. Remember, your study permit hasn't been issued. All you need to do when you arrive at the POE is tender the new LOA and for taking precaution, you may also keep the old LOA closeby.

You will be fine.

Hello Mantleouchtele,

There is no harm either since classes will commence in January. Remember, you must meet up with the mandatory 14 days quarantine period prior to 25th January of your resumption.

Hello Ikechuqu,

VFS are only a conduit in which IRCC receives your PP, they don't keep your PP. You just have to be patient. The PP everybody is tensed about will surely be returned.

VFS can only give updates on PP status if they have it. You have stayed tensed throughout the application processsing period, maybe you should try to keep calm at this final stage.

All the best

Thanks so much! Alas after multiple mails and calls, I’ve gotten a tracking ID. Honestly, it’s the silence that was deafening. I’ll stay calm from here on grin

Oh Alright

Was actually thinking if I don't let IRCC know that I have gotten a New LOA (deferment) it might have something to do with their decision in Stamping my Passport at the IRCC office in Lagos.

From your response I can conclude that, sending of Webform wahala is over smiley

Merci JustMellow

Hi guys. I havent received an e-mail from from IRCC and my status hasnt been changed to approved but i got this from VFS just now. Isnt it strange?

"Visa application, tracking ID No. **** The envelope for the decision on the results of your visa that has been processed has been received at the Canadian Visa Application Center at Lagos OC, on the date. We will then send this to the Canadian Visa Application Center Lagos OC. Please note that this is an automated email. Please DO NOT reply to this email. Your decision envelope will be returned to you via the courier service offered by the VAC. Collection of decision envelopes in-person at the VAC is not permitted until further notice. Please refer to the “Buy Services” page of the VAC website for further information on courier services offered by the VAC

Sent my passport on 3rd November to the Lagos VFS and DHL tracking showed it was received by the popular "Mr Festus" on 4th November. I got the first and only email with tracking number on 5th November saying they received my passport and was dispatched to Lagos VO.

No counterfoil email, no LOI then I received this same message about 15 minutes ago which seems like an error message. We will keep fingers crossed and see what happens next.

Hello Evergeen22,

The next step is submission. No interview required. For the needed documents, check page one for the list.

All the best

Boss I just checked page one of the thread and I can’t see the comprehensive list of the documents I need to submit. I really don’t know if it’s wise for me to submit here in China or do I come home to submit ?

I really need everyone’s view on this and I want to know all that I need for submission.

This one and the one you got two weeks ago are not the same thing. This one has your decision envelope meaning that your passport has been stamped. When did you submit your passport.

Good afternoon house, anybody with BVL or PPR today?

I submitted online in June, got AIP and Medicals in September but up till now no updates.

My school Michener Institute is not on COVID 19 DLI readiness list and they are not showing interest in being there because they don't want to admit International students this year or next year.
I am in dilemma and don't know what the future holds for me.

Start looking for similar admissions from DLIs on the readiness plan list even if it is for Fall 2021 but if you have started your classes online am not sure what to do in that case.

Yes, that is true but he (and I too and several others I assume) got a second email afterwards. This email is exactly like what I got on 5th November but the difference is that my application (not decision envelope) is in transit today to the Lagos OC.

I think some members in this forum said they got BVL & PPR and their school was not yet on the COVID-19 readiness list.

By the way, have u gotten Admission to another DLI that has a replica of your initial Post Graduate program at Michener Institute?

Its very obvious your Application has passed Processing Time

I would suggest you should do this

- Send Webforms & mails to IRCC to get updates about your Application that it has passed Standard/Normal processing time

The contents in the link below will guide u on how to do that

How to send Webforms & Mails to IRCC offices if your application has EXCEEDED STANDARD/NORMAL PROCESSING TIME
