I know many people here might say CSS is simple. Yes, I think so. Sometimes I discovered some people find things that seem easy, difficult and the ones that seem difficult, easy. You may try Javascript, Python, PHP and be killing things there.
Remember, there are different areas of programming or computing in general. Attempt many and you will naturally discover your area of strength. Like myself, HTML, CSS, graphics and Co don't fascinate me. I can barely combine two colours to look good, that's why I left website interface development for other people. I fascinate the backend better like database, system designs for programmers, algorithms and program optimization. If you see an end product, different people handle different parts.

What's more, there are different browsers and different screen resolutions so good luck supporting all that mess.
Solution: leave that job for someone else and work on backend, using an actual programming language.

Btw, css is not retarded and is a must for any decent web page. Nothing works as expected simply means you need to learn it.

I must confess, CSS is hard & it's difficulty is underated.this is so for self taught persons. in fact it is harder to learn by self taught. many properties, and values are present to always remember. sometimes I stare at the computer and wonder whether I am Cut or for this.

I'm also learning how to be a web developer. I will advise you to use a structured material when learning css or web development. I use Mozilla tutorials and it is very good and helpful. They explain in a good way.

You can use Mozilla tutorials, theodinproject or freecodecamp.

CSS is not a programing language. It is a tool used for writing design rules to increase productivity. It is like html on steroids for design appearance. Just give it more time. Practise until the hard part becomes easy. If you think CSS is hard, you'll be crying by the time JS deals with you.

CSS is not a programming language it's a "description" ot stylesheet language. You use it to describe the properties of the elements in you HTML document.

HTML itself isn't also regarded as a programming language but rather as a Markup Language.

From the technologies you've learning, it seems you want to be a web developer. You'd still have to learn Javascript and understand how the DOM work.

It'll take time to learn all these to the point of being proficient enough to demand money for your work, be patient.

I have a video download of one senior lecturer from one of the Universities in US. If you send me your email address, I will send the download to you. It is about 700MB. I think CSS is interesting. Is it complicated? I am not sure. But, I am sure CSS is very very interesting.

Beside this download that I have, there are several videos on Youtube, very very good videos that will teach you CSS.

Wow, OP css is simply the easiest programming language out there. Quite simpler than HTML because u have to apply html in a broad range of languages from php to JavaScript to python. If you want to really learn css, learn the basics of it and go learn bootstrap 4. You'll enjoy it.
