I am ashamed of my state of origin- Abia state. I travelled all the way from Cameroon where I am based to my home state of Abia. I was disappointed with what I saw on ground.

I first went to Aba, and I was asking people if they fought 2nd civil war in Aba. I noticed that all the roads are dilapidated with craters on the roads as though bombs were thrown there. The mountain of filth in Aba is alarming.

I decided to leave the shitty town and went to Umuahia, only for me to realise that Umuahia town is more or less a glorified village littered with bad roads, old houses, filth, etc.

Umuahia is such a useless backward worthless rural area.

Is Abia state cursed or are we the cause?

To say it is backward is an insult to backwardness.
Sometimes I am tempted to check my calendar. It feels like the 70s.
