That's a Philothamnus semivariegatus or an African Bush Snake in common parlance(100% sure). Totally harmless reptile, absolutely slender and royal. It feeds on lizards and rats after constricting them .

It was not worth the kill but it's okay not to take chances as a person who has limited enthusiasm about snakes.

So after washing my clothes today, I hung some of the laundry on the line, Hours later, I came to pack them in for ironing, And to my greatest surprise, I saw this little reptile Chilling in the pocket of my trousers with its head stuck out!!

I was scared at first, Cos I have never killed a snake, I summon the courage, And hit the on the head and that was it!!

I feel like a super hero right now! LOL

stop misleading people it's a public forum...any green snake with a yellowish stomach is a eastern green mamba its venomous and can shut down ur entire nervous system in 2 sec if beaten

And it seems the green mamba is really called can be subdivided into the eastern green mamba they can be found in Eastern Africa

Nigeria isn't an eastern African country so I don't think this kind of snake can be found here

Then there's the western green mamba which can be found in Western Africa Nigeria inclusive
