Don’t you think the inexperienced ones need to collide with someone? It could be anybody.

So most times the experienced drivers are not at fault.
Just yesterday,an experienced commercial bus driver hit a tricycle from the back.He injured almost all the occupants of the Keke, though his experience helped him not to run over the tricycle.Overspeeding is another cause of accident.Wrong and poor overtaking is another factor. In driving, both experienced and inexperienced do have accidents.

well more accidents have to happen in the Ember periods which coincides with more travels. these travelers are mostly people who last drove past the roads by say January and now driving by December, they'd clearly not be aware of new portholes , bumps and/or blocks in those roads. hence resulting in more accidents

There is a believe that blood sucking demons are unleashed in ember months to cause accident on our road but na lie. the thing there be say more people travel during this period hence the increase in road accident. Wahala for poor man weh no fit afford plane because na only road ember month DEH affect.
That's not the reason people tend to travel more during ember month.

If before ember month out of 10travels u get 1accident. In Ber month when travelling multiplies by 5 that means out of 50 u get 5 accidents

The reason is not spiritual as many people think.
Here are the reasons for high incidence of Road accidents during this period:

1. More people are traveling that period due to the festivity, so the road is more congested and coupled with the terrible condition of Nigeria roads.

2. The transport company commuters (GUO, PMT, GIG, YSG e.t.c) are in a hurry as that period is the season for them to make money. The more to and fro they go, the more money in the bag for them.

3. Many people are travelling with loads and luggages, so there is high rate of overloading vehicles during this period which is not good safety-wise

4. We are having people who have their Drivers license even before attending Proper Driving School. This ones are fortunate to have a vehicle in November and are basically street drivers or office to house drivers. They are already planning on plying the highways and expressways to go for Christmas in December.

I think these are some reasons

Let them fix all roads for travellers and see if there will be more deaths. This is just a superstitious belief.

People tend to travel more during EMBER months that’s why we record high accident and deaths in Ember months.

It’s all about our roads in Nigeria.

True both experienced and inexperienced drivers do have accidents but the rate is not the same.

In the US for example, auto insurance premium is pro rated based on experience. What does that indicate? Experienced drivers pay less on insurance because they are considered to be safer drivers. Except if they have record of accident.

Now, remember that most of the new drivers you see on the interstate road during this period have never done long distance drive. In town driving which they are used to is quite different from expressway driving and they do not know this.
Due to the speed of other vehicles, there are decisions that have to be made in splits of a second and well calculated. Most times the inexperienced one hardly get it right and that is the problem. For example, you don’t go slamming on your brakes in front of a fasting trailing heavy vehicle. It takes them longer to slow down unlike a passenger car.

It's simply because most travellers aren't used to long distances. You're not an expert in calculating well before overtaking a vehicle on express, yet you are forming James Bond , tell me why an accident won't occur .

hello. How is your alternate kingazubuike?
