Hmnnn I don't know the details of the shenanigans going on there nor the bursar but if you dig deeper into the Matter I won't be surprised if they're happy because the bursar that left blocked all avenues for corruption and exploitation of the system

Many Nigerians aren't kind people.look beyond the surface.when a general group of Nigerians rejoice over the exit of a person he either exposed corruption, wrong doing or didn't tolerate unethical practices hence they're rejoicing because he has left and now they'll have a field day stealing and plundering unchecked till they crash the system and then blame government and corruption for why things aren't working...
Shioorrr Na today?

If you really want to know the real truth of the matter, after hearing the general opinion of why a group or groups of Nigerians are happy that a particular leader left Go and do your findings.youll see there is more to it.there are some nasty details behind the scene that some people don't want the leader to expose or punish them for their misdemeanour hence they're actually rejoicing for themselves and so there's this stronghold of corruption holding nigerians.if not have you noticed when it's time to sit down as a group to orchestrate evil and pull a leader down,Nigerians will be united and committed to it.infact they'll raise funds for it but when it's time to pull someone up or plan to bring normalcy to a particular institution you will see how people will be giving different excuses.im busy,I don't have time, who he EPP, there's no money, I've not paid my brother's school fees etc

Infact when you go to institutions and you see people consistently gathering under a tree or in the car doing meeting, just know they're plotting the downfall of another man.in nigeria the corruption in institutions especially those ones underneath and in ministries is more deadly than the one in abuja lipsrsealed

God bless you brother. You spoke my mind. The Nigeria of today is where good people are hated . Thanks !

What if the bursar was an upright man who refused to compromise?
We'll know how public staff behave especially the high institution where you have pay extra to have things done for you.
What if he was fighting a good fight?

Ngozi okonjo iweala said something that I won't forget.she said if you fight corruption in Nigeria, corruption fights back. I have noticed that Nigerians don't like good leadership.if you're a good leader and insist that you won't allow stealing, plundering and mismanagement, you have already declared yourself as an enemy to All or drawn the battle line without realising but if you allow stealing, exploitation and all manners of abuse of office, the same people will hail you and call you all manners of names you like e.g our great leader, our understanding leader Yen Yen Yen in your presence whilst still in office but the moment you leave that office, they'll be the same people to report you that you stole and allowed all manners of mismanagement, infact they'll bring out evidences even when they were part of the stealing oo

They're the exact version of what yorubas call he invited a thief and showed him where to steal and also called the police to come and arrest him

Leadership in Nigeria is more complex than what you think because the people who want to still keep plundering and destroying the system are more than those who want normalcy and if you want to restore normalcy, they're ready to kill you.thats why you will hear the yorubas say "eyan tiofeka jeun, ama'n yo owo ekuro lawoni"... literal interpretation anyone who wants to stop you from eating, you kill the person, there's no abomination in that

Have you also noticed that in local government, ministries or other public parastals you will see pictures of obituary on the notice boards?

If you want to see raw cruelty and beastly tendencies go to one of the gatherings where they unite to destroy a leader trying to restore a fallen system.

Drama at University of Ibadan as non-academic staff celebrate exit of Bursa

There was a mild drama at the University of Ibadan as members of the non-academic staff celebrated the exit of the institution's bursary, Michael Alatise.

A video posted by Galaxy TV on Friday November 20, shows the union leaders and members in front of the Bursar's office with brooms, bells, other items, singing and chanting various slogans.

It was gathered that after the celebration, they swept the former Bursar's office with brooms.

Accorsing to a journalist, Kunle Ojo, who witnessed the incident, members of SSANU and NASU described the tenure of the bursar as unpleasant adding that he made the institution inconducive for the non-academic unions.

The chairman of Saanu, University of Ibadan, Wale Akinremi said the bursar, a former member of the Union, neglected members of his constituency while in office adding that he contributed in the failure of the outgoing administration of Prof Idowu Olayinka.

Other members of the non-academic unions said the exit of the bursar marked an end to tyranny and unfriendliness in the institution calling on other top leaders in the institution to learn from the way he has been treated by the unions.

Those in position of authority should not underestimate the importance of communication.

Leaders need to communicate, explain your actions, let people know why certain decisions were taken, and why certain course of action cannot be taken.

As an Accountant, he could be following the Financial Regulations, Treasury Circulars and other Extant Rules.

All these will never be understood or appreciated by the people you're serving when you're disconnected from them. You need to explain your actions to them.

It's lack of communication that makes people bad.

No wonder the Bible Said righteousness (righteousness means right doing, ethical standards) exalts a nation but sin (means wickedness) is a reproach.therefore have you noticed why Nigerian leaders keep disgracing Nigerians, other nationals disrespect outside nigeria and even Inside our own country? They know who we are, they see through out religious hoax.they know we're cruel to one another.thry treat Nigerians wickedly because we don't treat each other with kindness and love.we cheat each other, deceive each other, lie to each other, rape each other, exploit each other, kidnap each other and then justify it with "NOBODY holy pass".they see all these rubbish we do to each other everyday and you wonder why even ordinary Indians don't respect us.

Even countries that don't pray so much like us or have as many mosque and churches as us follow the principles of righteousness exalts a nation and they experience some level of sanity and progress
You're very right.
Reminds me of when the rector of FPA died. The people were rejoicing and they did not hide the fact that the reason for their joy was because of his zero tolerance to indiscipline and corruption.

But in saner climes, when a dictator leaves office, it is being celebrated. For instance, if you are entitled to something and the person to approve it turns a deaf ear or choose not to attend to your matter, I know that people like you will be singing a different song with a different tune. And that is the matter with people with position. They are negligent of the mandate given to them to care and appropriate things legitimately, but are eager to approve anything that brings comfort to themselves.
