Rudy was a very racially divisive Mayor. He just used 9/11 to shine. Rappers always dissed Giuliani heavily in the late 90s which was my main exposure to New York culture

Hmmmmm. Which explains his association with Trump. But I think there was still some level of respect for him before he became Trump's lawyer

Biden will become the first US president to win a state 3 times in 2 weeks grin grin as Trump Campaign officially requests recount of Georgia Ballot.

Trump is just intentionally punishing those poll workers. If Trump with this behavior of his is a Christian and God's chosen one then I renounce my Christianity and I will become an idle worshipper. How Christians manage to support this con is shocking

Shame on the cowardly G.O.P for not calling Don the Con out on his disgraceful behavior.

Losing the runoff elections in GA should be the consequence for the GOP being such pussies. Let's see if the voters choose wisely

Interesting thread with plenty of great minds to argue and reason with. Someone mentioned me and dropped my response to a Trump follower from another thread.

I am humbled he will think of my opinion as worthy to share. I have since made some clerical corrections to the original hurried piece.

Trump's failures is a topic for another day. I wouldn't say Obama was friendly to islamists militants by any proportion.. Most of the damage to ISIS was done by Obama under the Operation Inherent Resolve. Whilst we can't refuse Trump finished the job when he took over, the damage to ISIS had already been done before 2017. With Alaqeda defeated, can Obama take all the accolades cos he killed Bin Laden.? No, much of the credit goes to Bush as well.

By late 2016 ISIS had lost 62% of its land in Iraq having at the peak of its influence in 2014 captured 40% of Iraqi land mass. By late 2016 it had shrunk to just 10%. By 2016 the had lost 40% of their seized land in Syria. Before Trump took over, ISIS had been stretched to its limit and compromised at all fronts. Trump eventualy gave them the fatal blow and certainly shares the credit with Obama.

You might not have noticed but I am a Cameroonian who has been on nairaland for over 13 years. I followed the 2015 election results all night having been totally disgruntled with the Goodluck's regime inability to fight insecurity and corruption. The Chibok girls and how cluelessly he handled it brought me tears. Despite the oil windfall of the Goodluck administration his biggest achievenent was corrupton and embezzlement by those around him. Obama didn't sit in Buhari. The Nigerian population did, with a vote difference of over 3 million. Mind you when Buhari won again in 2019 Obama had long gone. Don't be an Orubebe over this. Hahaha

Goodluck was very weak as a president hence the inroads by boko haram. I refuse to agree Nigeria was run down by BH cos Obama refused to sell weapons to Nigeria. The many abuses by the Nigerian army on innocent civilians, well documented by Amnesty International dented the army's reputation. Killing of innocent civilians was easier than BH. That said the Nigerian army had enough weaponry from other sources to defeat BH.

As much as you might hate Buhari the broader hardship of his government has been as a result of the fall of oil price a commodity Nigeria totally depends on for hard currency. You do know very well had GEJ been given another tenure, Nigeria would have vanished from the surface of the universe by now.

Every American president has been empowered to clip the wings of extremists around the globe. America is built on certain principles that Trump has wholeheartedly compromised. The presidency comes with responsibilities as well as personality; traits Trump clearly doesn't posses. As much as the US government makes plenty of billions from the sales of military hardwares the are quick to restrict to sell if those arms stand to be abused.

During the Obama presidency even Saudi Arabia was refused certain grade of weapons as sanctions for human right abuses. Had the killing of the Saudi journalist (Kashogi) in Turkey taken place under Obama, the Saudi Prince would have been sanctioned without prejudice. Despite the huge amount of evidence Trump protected him even bragging he saved his ass.

I totally stand against Muslim extremist but not against Muslims. The two must be differentiated. My neighbour is a Muslim; I have never seen a better human. Trump didnt know where to draw the line. He targeted Muslims all over the world ujustly not because he is a Christian or prefers Christians. He did because he wanted to please his base of supporters. It was always about TRUMP. His divisive politics brought him to power and also took him out early. In a couple of months he will be nothing. Whilst most ex presidents go on to live a very quiet life, he will be caught up in court cases that will last for decades.

The American electoral systems are flawed in this election gone, they should have stuck to their old largely paper based systems.

There's an outbreak of election fraud accusations being flung all over the United States by team Trump.

Whatever the final conclusion, they need to scrap their current electoral systems.

Image below shows the handbill that was circulated in texas, days before jfk was murdered in texas. Jfk was one of the most progressive democrats then and bench mark for the civil rights movement. Note republicans have called every progressive person socialist. So dont be angered when magats and umudike republicans call you a socialist, the oppresors always believe progressive movements would affect them.

If you are black person and you still side with the so called conservatives, i just shake my head.

Because if it was up to them, you would be nothing.

Overwhelming majority of the States have paper backup in their systems but it is left for the voters to request for it. In Illinois where I reside, I always ask for paper backup after voting so my votes can be recorded in case of any conflict.

It doesnt work that way, beg republicans to allow the safe act be passed.

It was paper initially, but after florida 2000, they switched to ballot counting machines in 2004.

We are in the technological age, ballot counting machines aren’t bad.

If they go back to paper counting, those that want to sow conspiracy theories would say, the ballot counters were paid to do something.

So just let those ones be mad as they like

Fraud accusations means fraud happened? why would anyone even take what Trump and his lawyers say seriously? why is it that only places he lost he is questioning isnt it same system that worked in places he won.

Do you even realize they haven't pleaded for fraud in any case they have filed so far, their imagination of fraud only exists in social media

I get what you meant here, however, it's better to put honesty over inaccuracies.

Regardless of it being tedous, it isn't impossible.

Again, it's either they find a flawless electronic system, or as one engineer states, have all the electronic signals on areoplane mode, or stick to the generic way of achieving honest results.

And the generic way of achieving accurate results is by hand counts.

Yeah i agree with you partially, but my point is. Most states use counting machines, if the ballots are close, there is a hand recount.

States like california, that have close to 20 million votes, is going to be extremly difficult to be candid.

Some states are not yet done with counting, even with the help of machines, now imagine if it was just hand.

If were to listen to conservatives and increase there believe in the electoral system, there would no longer by mail in voting ( they despise it ), early voting etc.

They find literally anything to blame for there loss actually.
