Please I need help with this question:

ituajude:
Hello guys,
If I buy Treasury Bills or do Fixed Deposit with my Proof of Funds few weeks before ITA, do I need to submit a bank statement too?

I would surely get a reference letter from the bank (for the T.bill / fixed deposit) but I want to know if it's necessary to include a 6 month statement.

[quote author=elmoduddah post=96342023]Please I need a little piece of advice to guide me on a decision. I’ve decided to follow the suggestions here and be the PA instead of my husband.
Since all I have is an OND, here is what I intend to do to boost my score.

Take the TEF exams
Get BCS certification(take two certificates that is equivalent to a 3year program)
Write the IELTS exam

]Do the BCS certification first and then evaluate it with WES... that usually takes some time depending on how quickly you can get the transcripts to WES.
Then tackle the ILETS and TEF after and then once everything is ready
Jump in the pool

Happy Sunday guys, please I have 2 questions and I will appreciate your assistance.

1. My simulated CRS score is around 437, I am starting French classes this month and hope to take TEF by middle of next year. Can I enter the pool and then update after I have my TEF result assuming I don’t get a nomination?

2. On the issue of NOC - I own and run my own company, working both as the managing director and as the accountant, etc (My educational background is accounting); I am torn between going with:

a) NOC 1111 - financial auditors and accountants (as an employee) or

b) Enter the pool as self employed - but it’s really hard to find an NOC for this

(From my little research, it seems like noc 1111 gets more nominations.

Good afternoon guys, please I still await your assistance. Thank you

It’s the 2nd PPR on this profile!
AOR: April 30th, 2020
MED passed: August 26, 2020 (delay due to covid, had to submit my application initially without medicals)
Biometrics request: Aug 26
I requested my first gcms notes in August, then discovered my VO was accra, eligibility passed, security in progress, criminality not started.
Biometrics completed: Sep 21
Then the wait, I sent update requests to accra and cic bi weekly. Then last week I saw a couple ppr posts saying they sent ready to travel emails to accra, so I sent mine on Tuesday last week. Then woke up to my ppr email.

AVO: Accra

If you check this accounts previous posts you would see a ppr post from this account. Account belongs to my bf, he got ppr last year same accra vo same aor.

Thanks guys for all the help

Congratulations

When did your meds expire? Mine expired in September and still no word from them. Raised webforms and sent emails but nothing from them.

I don't know if anyone has responded to you but if not, I'll advise you do re-medicals since the previous one is expired. This is my personal opinion sha

1. Once you have the ECA and IELTS you can enter the pool. You can later update your profile with your TEF results or new IELTS if you retake the exams.

2. You need to have a reference letter that is consistent with NOC 1111. Does your firm have a HR person who can sign the letter? Is your firm an accounting firm? You may need to declare the MD role in your personal history. Hopefully a VO will not wonder about you being the MD and Accountant at the same time and why you didn't pick the NOC for your MD role.

Hello Everyone,

I need some clarification. Please if you are a lawyer and currently in the pool I need your help.

I am really confused as to what NOC to use.

I HAVE TWO QUESTIONS

1. WHICH IS THE BEST AND APPROPRIATE NOC CODE TO USE?

0422 - School principals and administrators of elementary and secondary education (Skill type 0)

4112 - Lawyers and Quebec notaries (Skill type A)

2. DO I NEED REFERENCE LETTERS FROM THE LAW FIRMS I HAVE PREVIOUSLY WORKED FOR even though I have been at the school for the past 4 years. Can I use reference letter from only the school?

Thank you.

You can use either NOC. Your primary NOC does not have to be your most recent job.

This is provided you:
a) have at least 3 years experience in each (e.g. 3 or more yrs in 0422 and 3 or more years in 4112) and
b) can get a reference letter that matches the lead statement of the NOC and the majority of main duties for each.
c) meet all the other conditions for pay, no of hours etc. as per IRCC

If you meet these conditions, then choose whichever one you like as your primary NOC on your profile. You will not need to provide ref letters for the other NOC, it will be listed in your personal history.

On the other hand, if you do not have up to 3 years experience each in either NOC then you may need to get ref letters from both such that you make up 3 years work experience.... you must have work experience that is for 1 or more years and be continuous in at least 1 of the NOCs. The NOC with 1 or more continuous years is your primary NOC.

Thats great. Thats why I said if you need it. I think evaluating 2 or more degrees would give you 2 extra points. Use the CRS tool but from what I am seeing your scores should be good if you max IELTS. Because I am 29 with MSc and 3 years experience and my husbands MSc with WES isn't even evaluated yet and we had 474 and we were invited. With the evaluation it would be 484.
So just check the CRS tool if it would make a difference for you and IELTS matters so you may begin with the WES as you mentioned. I know the cost may discourage you but some people won't take chances. Just weigh it. Goodluck.

wondychiqe:
Thanks so much Ayeesha B for the reply. It was evaluated as PGD 2years. I am not sure how much we need it because I am 26 with an MSC and 3 years experience. (My IELTS will be out by next month). But we will begin on the process just incase. So I need to pay for an upgrade to add the HND to WES, Chai extra 110CAD. It is well!

Thank you for the insight. My company is not an accounting firm and there is no HR person. Maybe I will just go with the owner/manager role. Thanks again
