Macsjebs:Bringing smuggled cars abi. Well, smuggling cars will soon be demarketed. Import duty will soon be drastically reduced such that you'll prefer to bring your car through our seaports. |

They don't have a choice, stagflation has hit the Nigerian economy, the next step to that is unrest. They need to open the border to crash the price of food. |

And the benefits of the closure include Recession is a bag if rice 40k, one square meal a day for 80% of Nigerian families, the capital of poverty of the world, extrodinary hardship. Please add your own gains. wellmax: |

What haa buhari achieved with the border closure? Nothing. Inflation sky high, cost of rice high, businesses destroyed, our international supply chains to the rest of West Africa corroded. This Man just punished this country for nothing. It's like he is carrying out a targeted attack on the standard of living of NIgeria. Crazy, I tell. This is crazy. |
| Re: Ahmed Zainab: Land Borders To Be Reopened Soon by CSTRR: 5:21pm On Nov 25, 2020 |
When we were talking about the stupidity in shutting our borders, buhari supporters were playing to populism. Dimwits with nothing upstairs. |

The UK is currently crying "had I know". Nissan and other businesses want to leave the UK because the European union will not accept UK goods without significant tariffs. Anthony Blinken, the future US secretary of state called it a disastrous decision by the UK. Self sabotage. Even the biggest Brexit fan is now beginning to see the consequences of their action. But the UK is different from NIgeria in two ways. Their citizens are smart enough to see they have been scammed, and the UK has the required credit to change their circumstances. Nigeria does not have the luxury of making mistakes, but we make so many. Terrible leadership. |

Some of you are just happy commenting that it is a good move. She said soon, my question is how soon is the soon? If they wants to open land border they don't need to announce it. They are announcing it as if our existence depends on it. They should go to hell with their lies and deception. Something that she will come and deny very soon |

I taught she was talking about ECOWAS BORDER with other west african countries that will allow in for free movement for goods and services. Ghanaian are angry with the Nigerian government for the border closure. |
| Re: Ahmed Zainab: Land Borders To Be Reopened Soon by Reference(m): 6:08pm On Nov 25, 2020 |
They closed the borders just to produce a report...hahahaha. Just say the truth for once that it was an I'll advised policy without the meat to attain its objectives because of the failed structure of Nigeria that doesn't lend itself to productivity. It is now they have realised the grave consequences and the rising pressure for a total revolt and breakdown of law and order. When you have restructured the country along the lines of proper productivity and independent economic development by ending the rent seeking, resource allocation system we practice and folks are finally etching out a real living then you can dig a moat round the country as deep as the Mariana Trench and fill it with caustic alligators. No one will bother. |
