oil was selling for 15 dollars per barrel during obasanjo regime so stop using oil as reason for buhari failure. I agreed with you that isn't Cbn governor fault but that of buhari and his gang that lack economics direction.
Dont mind all these clowns that have the impression that crude oil prices have always been 200USD.

Tell your Governor & docile people to stop running to Abuja every month to collect sustainability money from the FG, why can’t your state produce the commodity that will break our dependence on oil, instead of just wailing with no solution & blaming others as if you are not part of the problem?
1.Well, some states are into producing something. Zamfara is taking gold serious, and disputes over ownership aside....if they get very serious, it could eaarn some cash for the exchequer.

2.In my opinion though, Nigeria should aim to be a manufacturing nation...that manufactures stuff for export.. It is the only way we can earn appreciable currency.

Not too long ago, Ghana sold cocoa for $2 billion. A chocolate company made products from PART of that cocoa wirth $17 billlion.

And it starts by deregulating our power sector, and by ensuring eveyrone pays their bills for power. So that the sector can have cash to build itself up. Not seeling power that costs 53 naira per kwh to produce at a price of 30 naira per kwh.( and using lloans and precious forex to make up the difference).

3.And your hero Buhari needs to do something. State governors as well. But so does your bubu..

In farness to Emefiele, he does not control the amount of dollars entering Nigeria.

Since 2014, we have been suffering from low oil prices. Oil has been below $80 PER barrel, and is now at 40 per barrel. Meanwhile the price at which we need oil to be to earn enough for a surplus budget is $139 since 2017.

Also, the government has not dealt with corruption, refuses to fully deregulate,, and has no answer to the securty challenges in the country...which all drive away investtors.

There is only so much the CBN governor can do.

Yes, Nigeria is dependent on oil, yes, when oil falls, our economy crashes, when oil shoots up our economy rises. We were there in 1973-82, when oil rose, 1982-2003 when oil was low, and 2003-2014 when oil rose.

Blaming our current economic collapse on the collapse on the price of oil, is a direct criticism of the government's failure to diversify the economy. If you don't get that, sorry.
The economy is diversified by a default federal system already, the lazy states are too used to Military agreement of collecting free money every month from the Federal Government, & in doing so, have refused to work, although they claim we have been practicing 20 years of democrazy? Is oil & gas the only resource Nigeria has?

Oil ranged between 15 and 60 dollars under Obasanjos regime

We also had a bad economy then especially in the first five years. Back then, just as the buharists blame gej, obasanjo blamed decades of millitary rule and asked for patience

From 2006, things got better.

Also out forex needs were less under obasnjo than now.

It is already diversified, if each State’s capitalizes on their comparative advantage, the middle will have nothing to do, no one has stopped Delta State from exporting processed cassava, or palm oil? By law the FG has jurisdiction on items on the exclusive legislative list, which includes oil & gas, States should concentrate & grow their visionary approach on items in the concurrent list, the old cliche that it is Abuja’s fault, or restructuring is the problem can not hold water in our democrazy.

There is no dispute over the gold in Zamfara, the Constitution is unambiguous on this issue, it belongs to The Federal Government of Nigeria, if an ordinary state doesn’t know the requirements of the constitution, how can they get themselves in order to prosper? Although we may have our little differences, I can’t deny the fact that you have an idea of what you are talking about?

Is oil the only fx earner in the country?
What of yam the previous minister for agriculture was making noise all over the news that we r now exporting yam to US and UK earning enough FX to the country. Or gold the cbn man even launch the other day from zamfara making noise all over... Obiano is exporting ugwu too less I forget and these too gives us extra FX no matter how minute it might be.
We r no more importing rice, toothpicks, other 52commodities banned from assessing fx, so I don't know why they are still harping on forex liquidity...
Before I forget in 2014-2015 diaspora remittance was $50billion, that is also avenue to earn forex but buhari came in with a witchcraft policy and now Nigerians no more send in monies directly thru western union or money gram but Thru other means denying govt that vital earning.

Buhari has a very strong affinity to incompetence.

Even worse than trump, he places loyalty way over ability. Nigeria’s decline was always inevitable under such an incapable leader

You started well but ended poorly due to sentiments, western union problem with Nigeria is because of yahoo boys nothing to do with any Buhari, notwithstanding we were only second to Mexico for legal money remittance, & illegal money laundering from the US, maybe it is also because of President Buhari we were removed from the list of Countries that could participate in the green card lottery?

Instead of recruiting competent people. Here in Nigeria we prefer recruiting people base on ethnicity. I remember when Nigerians where saying, it's an igbo man that they want buhari to appoint as cbn govt all because the northerners are already occupying various positions

Western union is not because of yahoo.
When buhari came in, he thru his cbn govr made a policy that customers can no longer receive dolls or currency outside naira at the counter. This singular policy gave birth to hat we r witnessing today.

So Mr CBN governor, as a regular citizen and not your Dangote or Otedola, how much can I convert my naira to dollar? Is it not 480? You're using our commonwealth to subsidize some individuals. It is not right! Why is it that Dangote will get at 379 and I will have to get mine from blackmarekt at 480. Over 100 naira more. Does Dangote have 2 heads? As far as I am concerned that is the corruption and nepotism we have been talking about.
