Well if the government is serious about addressing the problem of scarcity of feed, they should teach Nigerians how to make their own chicken feed instead of importing the feed. Also they should find alternative to soya beans, plantain will be a good alternative.

If they don't do this urgently, you will not blame people when they start clamoring to open the borders again to allow chicken importation. Because it is now looking as if the government planned these on purpose by banning chicken importation to make the masses suffer.

It is up to the government to do the needful fast. If soybeans is scarce, provide locally sourced alternative feed. If they cannot do that, they should just open up chicken importation again.
