Asma’ bint ‘Umays reported: The Messenger of Allah, (pboh), said, “Whoever is afflicted by anxiety, grief, illness, or hardship and he says, ‘Allah is my Lord without partner,’ it will be removed from him.”
(al-Mu’jam al-Kabīr 396)

Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, (pboh), said, “There is no God but Allah, and Allah is the greatest. There is no God but Allah without any partner, there is no God but Allah. To Him belong dominion and praise, there is no God but Allah. There is no power or might but in Allah. Whoever says these words in a day or a night or a month, then he dies in that day or night or month, his sins will be forgiven.”
(al-Sunan al-Kubrā lil-Nasā’ī 5760)

Abdullah ibn Khubayb reported: The Messenger of Allah, (pboh), said, “Speak.”
I said, “What should I say?” The Prophet pboh  said, “Say: He is Allah, the One, (Quran 112:1)
and the two chapters of refuge every evening and morning three times. They will be enough for you against everything.”
(Sunan al-Tirmidhī 3575)

Ibn Umar reported: We were traveling with the Messenger of Allah, (pboh), and when he saw a town he wanted to enter, he would say three times, “O Allah, bless us in it. O Allah, provide us with its fruits, make us beloved to its people, and make the righteous of its people beloved to us.”
(al-Mu’jam al-Awsaṭ 4755)

“And Your Lord has said, ‘Call Me, (i.e believe in My Oneness (Islamic Monotheism)
I will answer you. Indeed those who are disdainful of My worship will enter hell in utter humility.”(Quran 40:60)

The Exalted SWT says: “… And supplicate Him with fear and hope, indeed Allah’s mercy is close to the virtuous.” (Quran 7:56)

The closeness of Allah’s mercy to a servant is proportional to the degree of his fear of Allah’s punishment and his eagerness for His benevolence.

The more intense the fear in the heart of a servant, the stronger shall be his sense of seeking refuge with Allah, and the nearer shall be his prayer to acceptance.
