Your wife is possessed sir. Please remain zealous for God, stand your ground as the head of the house and ask God for wisdom/insight to this situation. In fact, you're not taking it too far, you have just started. When there is a calling, your heart will be longing to serve God and then get to know Him the more. I really hope you didn't marry the wrong person but there is no situation irredeemable for God. Pray for your wife constantly and deal with her in love. Guard your salvation with fear and trembling. |

onyxo76 Many people read the thread and refuse to tell you the truth, cos you will not believe the truth, you will want an answer that baby-sits you. There is no point baby-sitting a man who thinks being a man is about having a dicck. Your Work or as a worker in the church, are you paid for your time ? What I am saying really is 'How does the church system compensate you for the time you spent there? What I see is a case of a naturally intelligent woman making the mistake of marrying a religious zombie who is deceived into 100% belief that he is serving God. You have gone to the point of no return, nothing your wife will say now will help you. If you want some advise, I will say dedicate the time you spend in church 100% into passive income actionable research and you might earn a little more than you can spend. Stop wasting your time in churches, spend your time alone meditating and, talking to God directly. Today's church system is yahoo yahoo. If you are not making a living out of being at church, I will say run from there. It is all about who receives the money. Your wife will prefer it if you were the one earning the tithes and offerings on behalf of God - Allahu Akbar! |

onyxo76:I am afraid your wife is the least of your problems(assuming she is even one, to begin with), as far as Jesus Christ, the New Covenant between God and man is concerned. You pretend you serve God by the many vain things you do - things Jesus Christ never commanded you to do in the first place - so my question is to what end? Maybe God is trying to use your wife to pull you away from all the vain worship so you can instead focus all that energy you have towards obeying His actual commandments as stipulated in the New Covenant. All that church (business of man)of man/pastor worship is not going to get you anywhere closer to God, not in this lifetime or even the next (assuming there is one). Your helping these so-called pastors/preachers build and maintain their earthly kingdom is not going to help you get into the kingdom of Heaven... not even close. |

TimeTraveler369:many thanks sir, i only serve on Sundays in the Sunday school, besides she brought me into rccg when we got married, but now she is not interested in working in any department, and seems hell bent on stopping me, i work as a doctor and even have my own private set up as well but i still spend much time at home as i have doctors working for me in my private hospital. is 2 hours on a Sunday too much for God, aside maybe an hour or so on Tuesday to study the Bible |
| Re: hello by Kobojunkiee: 6:39pm On Nov 29, 2020 |
onyxo76:Nah! Vain worship is not for God at all. The kind of worship God wants is not what you do in your church buildings on Sundays... Jesus Christ never commanded any of His followers to show up in a building on Sundays to pretend to worship him - doing what sets you against Him. |
| Re: hello by onyxo76(op): 6:39pm On Nov 29, 2020 |
Kobojunkiee:vain worship how? serving in the Sunday school is vain worship? a mere 2 hours on a Sunday too much for God? |
| Re: hello by onyxo76(op): 6:41pm On Nov 29, 2020 |
Kobojunkiee:if i may ask, what do you understand by heb 10 vs 25? when we admonished not to forsake the gathering of fellow believers |
| Re: hello by Kobojunkiee: 6:41pm On Nov 29, 2020 |
onyxo76:Open your Bible to the Gospels and read it for yourself. Yes, it is vain worship since rather than doing what He commanded you to do, you are instead doing what man's doctrines and traditions tell you to do instead, thinking you do it on behalf of God. Mark 7 vs 1-13 (ERV)** substituted from another Bible translation for better understanding of what is impacted |
| Re: hello by Kobojunkiee: 6:46pm On Nov 29, 2020 |
onyxo76:Let's first deal with the Truth of God i.e. Jesus Christ and what He commanded. If you want to learn of the about 46 commandments that make up the New Covenant agreement which is Jesus Christ, I suggest you first read through each and every one of the 4 Gospels to get yourself better acquainted with Him in truth and in Spirit, and not through the doctrines and traditions (lies) of men. Jesus Christ never commanded any of His followers to show up to serve Him in a special building on any day of the week. So why do you do it pretending you do it in obedience to Him when He never commanded it? |
| Re: hello by budaatum: 6:47pm On Nov 29, 2020 |
onyxo76:How come you do not see your work as a doctor as Jesus work such that you need to be doing overtime in pastor's church?

onyxo76:there you go @ the bolded. It is the right thing to do. |
| Re: hello by onyxo76(op): 6:50pm On Nov 29, 2020 |
budaatum:2 hours on a Sunday is overtime? |
| Re: hello by onyxo76(op): 6:52pm On Nov 29, 2020 |
dan2ene:bro, i appreciate your kind response, i have no regrets being useful to God in His vineyard. |
| Re: hello by Kobojunkiee: 6:55pm On Nov 29, 2020 |
onyxo76:There you go assuming again that doing what God never commanded of you is useful to God. Read what Jesus Christ Himself told you of such things and how rather than uplift you, they instead nullify the power of God in your life.. Mark 7 vs 1-13 (ERV)** substituted from another Bible translation for better understanding of what is impacted |
| Re: hello by budaatum: 7:05pm On Nov 29, 2020 |
onyxo76:You will in the end justify yourself and do whatever you want to do, but in my own opinion, that 2 hours is better spent with your wife and children if you got any than what you seem to want to spend it on. If you spent it teaching your children if you got any, maths for instance, you and your's will be blessed. Moderation, is my word for you. If you were spending quality time with your wife and family she would likely not be complaining so much, and considering you are a doctor with your own practise and other doctors working for you, I doubt you got time for wife. But I assume. Please tell how many hours work you do in a week. And do not lie! |
| Re: hello by onyxo76(op): 7:09pm On Nov 29, 2020 |
budaatum:at least 60 hours a week, what you don't know is thar my wife was the fervent one and encouraged me to join rccg, now she has lost passion for things that relate to church |
| Re: hello by sholay2011(m): 7:13pm On Nov 29, 2020 |
Kobojunkiee:This is pure balderdash. OP do not listen to this guy if you don't want to be misled. A word is enough for the wise. |

| Re: hello by onyxo76(op): 7:17pm On Nov 29, 2020 |
budaatum:so in a nutshell going to church for 2 hours on a Sunday is a waste of my time? do you attend any church service at all? its not as if i attend every church prog, but at least Sunday service and Sunday school is a must for me if I'm not on call that day? i know what i used to be when i was in the world, until i surrendered my life to Christ and started attending service, bible study etc and my wife was happy, now she hates me getting ready for service on Sunday |
| Re: hello by onyxo76(op): 7:21pm On Nov 29, 2020 |
sholay2011:listen ke, i know their type na. |
| Re: hello by budaatum: 7:22pm On Nov 29, 2020 |
onyxo76:Dude, divorce your wife and get a new one who approves of you "surrendering your life to Christ". Your current wife might have become demon possessed and you should not yoke unequally. |
| Re: hello by onyxo76(op): 7:23pm On Nov 29, 2020 |
sholay2011:bro i tire o, if someone advice me to spend Sunday morning teaching maths to my children, I'm not surprised at all. |
| Re: hello by budaatum: 7:27pm On Nov 29, 2020 |
onyxo76:60 hours a week is 10 hours a day if you rest on Sunday. Add two hours journeying to work and back a day and that leaves 12 hours. You likely don't sleep much being young and strong, so lets say 6 hours a day making 18 hours and leaving you with 6 free hours. Do tell, how many of those 6 hours is wife time? |
| Re: hello by onyxo76(op): 7:29pm On Nov 29, 2020 |
Righteousness89:i fully understand bro, may God continue to uphold us till the end, keep serving the Lord |

| Re: hello by budaatum: 7:30pm On Nov 29, 2020 |
onyxo76:No one is advising you to "spend Sunday morning teaching maths to my children" though if you do it would not be a bad thing. What you should do is address your wife's concerns instead of painting her as demon possessed. |
| Re: hello by Numismatic(m): 7:31pm On Nov 29, 2020 |
My brother, don't mind all these devilish advices. Remain zealous for God so that when the master returns he will find you in his business. Heavenly race na per head, talk to ur wife, if she refuses, let her be but don't allow her discourage you. Continue to pray and love her despite everything. Remember that our works shall be tried.. |
| Re: hello by TimeTraveler369: 7:32pm On Nov 29, 2020 |
onyxo76:Two hours is too much. Let me mention my sundays schedule and the plan we have every sundays; 9AM Everyone goes to his/her chosen worship place. But be sure to return home by 12:30 at most. If they can not make it to service then streaming is encouraged every sundays. From 12:30PM to 4:30PM you can receive guests, or play you favourite family games or do what ever you want because 5PM is Family Home Evening to address any infractions or worries within the past week and plan the next week. Then our family weekend party begins from 8PM till when ever you wanna retire to bed. Your weekends must be fun and party time with family, not sweating out for a church system. You have to spend all available time with family apart from work. Religion is not a pillar in relationship, it is a tool and a tool can not be made a master in life. |

Numismatic:Yes, it is indeed "devilish" to advise this man who claims to believe in God and serve God, to do exactly what God commands instead of playing Christian in your church business of this world. ![]() Yes ooo, the one who tells you to do what God commands is EVIL... instead the one who tells you to do that which has nothing to do with what God asked of you is the one who is correct, right? ![]() |
