I have 3 cars on Uber. I want to ask how much does your drivers remit for weekly rentals?

I want to see if I’ve not been cheated all along with the high price of cars and everything.

Different strokes for different folks. Nobody is cheating you in as much as you’re happy with your drivers and they remit on time and as at when due. Initially i did all the repairs but over time I discovered it made them reckless and nonchalant so I reduced the rental fee and shared the maintenance cost 50/50. Presently they remit 25k and I can tell you for free that the rate of repairs have reduced except for regular and routine maintenance

This shows clearly that I’ve been cheated all along. With them paying 20k and I do all the repairs. For a 1.8 million naira Corolla.

I’m clearly changing the terms and conditions for them from this week forward.

If the map asks you to go through Epe, you might be tempted NOT TO because of bad roads. But my advice is: If it says go through Epe, please do. The roads are not as bad as I thought. Two Saturdays ago, I left Ajah by 7am. Map said I should go through Epe, I declined. I got to Ibadan by 4pm. I regretted my decision that day.
Haha... The truth is the Epe Ijebu route is the shortest distance to IB when compared to the Epe-Lagos Ibadan Expr road. The later is under serious construction, 1st the Berger to Mowe Ibafo axis and then another phase some KM after the diversion to Lagos Ore road... That phase is the most dreaded phase that can delay one for hours due to serious construction.

If you'd use the Epe route once you'd gotten to ijebu off bridge you just link it straight down to IB and within 30min or there about you would've arrived at your destination.

But most times the fear of the unknown (bad road) is the beginning of wisdomgrin

Though my last trip to IB I used the Lagos IB route and I returned same day getting home by 10pm.

With the way things are going with this Indriver I see ehailing business going down the drain in few years to come if they don't regulate this app companies.

Can you imagine?! You want cash after doing transfer, what happened to POS or ATM? And some stupid over zealous jp's drivers will do the magic finger wonders. ArantNonsense!

From your write up you make it look like partners are majorly the issue but I don’t really agree with you. I can understand new drivers wanting to try their luck with Uber due to loss and lack of jobs, dwindling economy and the need to be actively doing something. My issue is those who are already on the platform and for some reasons their partners withdrew their cars. The rate and number of people waiting on new partners on this platform is really high which necessitated my question.

As a partner it would take dishonesty and insincerity for me to withdraw my car from a rider and then I must have drawn your attention to my grouse with you before even taking any action. It’s the reason why I can’t do HP because People have died for just withdrawing their cars from non paying drivers who in turn feel slighted and offended especially when they have paid over half of the agreed price. I no sabi fight so I just stick to rentals and stay on my lane. Anyway any driver around Ajah and sangotedo can contact me. I might be able to work something out

Sir the truth is not everybody can be vocal, honest and free to come on SM to state their past experience with their former boss or company, only a few will.

The last time I did I know the backslash, slanders, hatred I got and followers I lost.

But one philosophy I have is "a clear conscience fears no death" despite everything I'd gone through I can still boldly say I've gotten love from even the most beautiful persons around here.

Going forward, if you must recruit a driver or an employee just be yourself and never allow what people have done to you change that good person you truly are. Though you may want to change or adjust your rules and decisions, yes, that's business. But there is that natural person you shouldn't change. I'm sorry but this is an act of greed and selfishness speaking from your heart. What matters most is your turnover. Look deeply at you turnovers, ask yourself are you making profit renting your property at the present price or not? Then look for a means, discuss with your employees and notify on change of business plans, the main objective for every business is First customers satisfaction and secondly, to make profit, so, no CEO plans to make lost. If you're making profit already my brother be happy and don't compare yourself to jp or other persons and if you're not then discuss with your workers to find a leveling ground of operation. Remember you need them as much as they also need you.

The economy and country is already hard enough , don't make it harder for people simply because of government policies.

The more you know about the vehicle the safer you will be. Run a VIN check and verify critical facts you need to buy a used car with confidence. Check the title status, previous odometer readings and the current market of the vehicle. Do as many checks as possible to ensure you are getting a legitimate offer.
