I don't even understand the idea Seun is trying to sell here. Heck.

Giving SE APC's ticket is like handing pdp the presidency on a silver platter. It would be a walk over.

Just take a look at Umahi today. The same man they once exalted as the best performing governor in Nigeria has suddenly become the devil that must be vilified and put down by any means simply because he decamped to APC. Yet, folks like Sèun feel the party's ticket should be thrown at them.

Who does that? Even when Ojukwu himself contested under a different platform, they ditched him like he didnt matter at all. Not a single state did he win, not even Anambra!!!

Smh.

Exactly. They won’t even vote APC to start with if both parties present an Igbo aspirant. So what will be the gain of the people that built APC.

Seun might have his own opinion about this maybe from political correctness, but reality and the pattern of play shows that the SE deserves no preferential treatment in APC for any ticket.

The only Igbo that is manageable as a presidential candidate in the APC is Dr Ogbonaya Onu. Any other candidate would be difficult to support.

What will he do for nigeria?

The only iboe that we can allow to become president but for only one term is Rochas okorocha for the same reason whites allowed Obama to become first "black" president of the US. At least okorocha's mother is a northerner so the agenda of breaking up the country will not arise with him. Apart from Rochas, any other iboe vying for president is only fooling himself.

Sorry bro,no harm intended. But seriously why should we even mention that name in same line with presidency? Let's remove tribe from this and call a spade a spade.By now the man's case is supposed to be revisited, but here we are talking about making him our president. Tufiakwa

They should zone presidency to SE

SE has been PDP since 1999

Time to pay them back with presendential candidate in 2023

If the president’s tribe matters, which it should not, I think it would clearly be the turn of the an Igbo or other south-eastern person to hold the position in 2023. The north would have held power for 11 years, and the south west for 8 years. If we group GEJ with the South East, it would still be their turn since he ruled for only 5 years.

If we can get a very good Igbo president in 2023, their yearning for separation will gradually fade away. Hopefully the Igbo president will not make the same mistakes that Zik, Nzeogwu and Ironsi made in the early days. Mistakes that set the country on a dark path.

Seun ma dear, Zik was a one Nigeria man. Did that plunge Nigeria into a dark path?

Ironsi took some powers from the regional governments in order to save Nigeria from disintegration. Was that a dark pathway? Ironsi NEVER dissolved regional government system. He was killed in the company of the REGIONAL GOVERNOR of SW region.

Nzeogwu coup was a coup of Nigeria armed forces by soldiers from all the major ethnic groups in Nigeria. If that was setting a dark path, how about the many other military coups in Nigeria?

Power is not given. You take power.

Other tribes worked for APC since 2015. The tribes Igbos have chosen to domonize online and offline cos of their love for PDP and their tribe.

Suddenly APC they demonized and worked against should reward them with power or presidency? In what world does that happen?

APC is not the only party in Nigeria. they should stick with PDP and beg other tribes they have demonized to vote for them and make them president or they can continue to wait like plenty other tribes in Nigeria that are yet to taste presidency.

I support this, only Rochas is worthy of my gote from the East and I just speak the mind of 90% of northerners.

I worked with Rochas, and I still do time to time here in Abuja, he Is the most detribalized igbo on earth. In his office at Unity house Abuja he employed his staff based on credibility regardless of tribe or religion.

I know his people will not vote for him, but I am definitely sure he will have Northern block votes and Some votes from SW.

What entitles the SW to hold the presidency twice before the SE?

Because Jagaband helped PMB to win in 2015?

In 2023, it needs to be SE in APC ticket and in PDP ticket, as we all agreed for the SW in 1999.
Who and who agreed for the SW in 1999? Was Ekwueme who got 21% of votes (mostly from SE) in the primary election from abeokuta?

So like Isa Funtua, you think Igbos must belong?

And rehashing this "power is taken and not given" is turning stale and senseless.

So for you, we must stick to what you think the universal understanding of power is, instead of looking at what is best for the cohesion of our country and for continued peace and unity?

.. and what made you think that Ekwueme who formed PDP with others when Obasanjo was in Abacha’s Gulag waiting for the hangman, could have defeated Ekwueme, if not the agreement that the SW would get the presidency through the agreement to rotate the presidency between north and south? That was after Shagari, Buhari, IBB, Abacha and Abubakar - all from north had steered Nigeria all the years.

I think they should keep their presidency.

The current government has damaged the country so much that whomever takes over is already positioned to fail.

Igbos should borrow sense and let those that destroyed the country to fix it. If not before you know it they will blame Igbo presidency for everything that ever went wrong in Nigeria.
On this day and time, wisdom shall never depart from u nor your household.
