Not completely true! If mercenaries are contracted then all information pertaining to handling Boko Haram will be controlled within them and no other person will know so there is no way the information will be exposed
you can't be serious with what you just said, maybe you should do more research on mercenary activities and how it can be monitored, besides, even if the government agrees to them holding all their infos, their location and movements can still be easily monitored,no be moto dem go use,dem no go wear cloth, dem no go see villagers, abi dem b spirit...

That bolded part was 100% written by a Nigerian. Eeben Barlow doesn't speak like that, only the latter part can be attributed to him. These cheap bloggers should get a life and stop junk journalism

“The initial 3-phase campaign strategy (known as ‘Operational Anvil’) to degrade and destroy BH in Borno State, was rejected by his advisors,” Barlow added.

Barlow recalled that the company was willing to stay back in the Northeast but the President “made it known that the company’s presence would not be tolerated under his administration.”

Which kind of lie be this?

Mercenaries are everly available in this kind of situation.....

Haha when mercenaries plan an offensive with their sponsor against a terror group, their sponsor goes on to tell terrorists to be on the look out for the plan discussed and mercenaries comes out to discover that terrorists are already in the know and fully prepared. How u expect mercenaries to still go back to the condemned place? Use your head.

Buhari may be one of their sponsors

To what end?

To destroy his own administration and legacy and murder his fellow muslim northerners?

Hate buhari all you want, we all do, but making silly comments don't help.

Ur stupid and confused Buhari that claimed during inauguration to lead the war from war front and to move his seat of power to North East as a retired soldier, is now considering same mercenaries.

Who is more daft and clueless between both?
In which of your meetings with Buhari did he tell you he was considering mercenaries?

Oritsejafor's reputation was rubbished back then by northerners looking for a scapegoat. They knew the story behind the private jet and money found in South Africa, but chosed to feed the masses a different narrative, to make Jonathan look bad.
The North's tolerance for religious riots and deep seated hatred of Christians paved the way for book haram.

That's why BH is always a problem there because everything is always about religion for them.

Let's not forget that there are Boko Haram terrorists in the govt and in the army.

If the mercenaries come back, they’d be sabotaged and killed the way the southern soldiers trying to fight for d country are being killed.

Just like they did our first female helicopter pilot, Tolulope Arotile...and swept d matter under d carpet.

I think the mercenaries have some form of autonomy. Sabotaging them will be difficult, as they don't have to be reporting their day-to-day movement and activities to the Nigerian authorities.

Jonathan was so clueless he couldn't make our army strong enough to confront BH.
He had to hire mercenaries.

Our army are strong and gallant, they've degraded BH by 80%, the rest of the 20% too will be crushed Insha Allah. The unfortunate death of those farmers is a big set back for the fight against terrorism. May the Almighty Allah rest their souls.

BTW, Were the mercenaries around when BH was bombing Kano, Kaduna, Abuja, Kogi?

I AM DONE TALKING

How could GEJ use the military when it was an open secret that the army was compromised. With Boko Haram having moles inside the army giving the terrorists detailed information on military formations and movements. The only sensible thing to do was to bring in military contractors who are neutral and report to their principal that contracted them.

Nigeria's democracy is not working because there is inconsistency in leadership. If a new party rules Nigeria tomorrow, they will destroy everything from the previous and take us tack with their ideas. Check it out, states that have had consistent leadership in values and party in Nigeria are actually the most progresssive state i.e.
Lagos
Anambra
Borno

Imagine that clown Rochas destroying what Ohakim did, then Ihedioha destroying all what Rochas did. Then that opportuned governor now destroying the little Ihedioha did and all Rochas did. How will the most learned state in the East ever get developed. As much as we need change, we should not erode the foundation and start from scratch. Buhari messed up with the issue of Boko Haram. It is like we are learning all over again.

Hire mercenaries, short term benefits, empower our military, permanent benefits, chose your choice.

If there are saboteurs, weed them out. An Igbo Christian was in charge of the army, he wasn't competent enough to find the saboteurs in six years?

"it's your field",is that a point,is that even a logic,i said their day to day activities can be easily monitored even if they withheld infos from the government....like i said before they aren't spirits, they would drive, walk, meet villagers, hunters etc,be supplied stuffs if they don't want to go thelmselves.
