GRACE IS A NONSENSE IDEA THAT ENTERED THE CHRISTIAN MARKET LESS THAN A DECADE AGO, AND HAS NOW FOUND A PERMANENT PLACE IN THE HEADS OF BELIEVERS.

CHRISTIANS BELIEVE THAT NO MATTER WHAT THEY DO WRONG, NO MATTER HOW BADLY THEY ERR, NO MATTER THEIR SINS, MISTAKES AND INJUSTICE AGAINST OTHER PEOPLE, THEY STILL HAVE A SPECIAL PLACE WITH GOD AND HE HAS PUT TOGETHER FANTASTIC THINGS FOR "JUST" THEM BECAUSE THEY HAVE GOD'S GRACE.

THAT'S NOT MY PROBLEM.
I HAVE ISSUES WITH HOW THEY BELIEVE THAT MJBOLT, MOHAMMED, KIM JUNG UN, AND CAPSLOCKED ARE PROGRESSING IN LIFE BECAUSE OF THE CHRISTIAN GOD'S GRACE. THEY CLAIM THAT WHETHER WE BELIEVE THEIR GOD OR NOT WHATEVER WE HAVE STRUGGLED TO ACHIEVE ALL ALONE IN LIFE HAS COME BY THE GRACE OF THEIR OWN CHRISTIAN GOD.

NOW I WONDER WHY THIS GOD WILL GIVE ME HIS GRACE - ME, AN UNREPENTANT ATHEIST, RATHER THAN GIVE IT TO THE MILLIONS OF CHRISTIANS SUFFERING FROM POVERTY AND DYING FROM ALL SORTS OF DISEASES.

THIS IS A REMINDER THAT YOU DON'T HAVE THE GRACE OF GOD. YOU'RE JUST LUCKY TO BE HERE AT THIS MOMENT.

I've been waiting for someone to bring this up.

This is why i say the bible is self contradictory.

The same bible that says you should not try to fulfil the laws also tells you're a sinner if you don't stop committing sin.
Which means it is a personal effort to stop committing sin. Yet if you try to stop committing sin you are no longer under Grace but under the law.

Can you explain this?

It's not contradictory.

The Bible is clear, in that even in your personal effort, GRACE must be acknowledge.

All your WORKS are futile without putting GRACE into consideration

The laws are letters and they KILL, no forgiveness or repentance in LAW. Everything about LAW is condemnation

Why do you speak like you have never read the bible before. How can you say theres no forgiveness or repentance in the law?

Abraham, Samson, David, Solomon and others sinned and were forgiven by God in the old testament.

The difference is there is no longer the need for sacrifices in the new testament as the blood of Jesus atones for all sins.

You should read your bible before making posts. Don't speak of what you have no knowledge of cos there are those who will expose your ignorance of scriptures.

You should understand the scripture better than this

If the LAW was perfect, Jesus wouldn't have died on the cross

After his death and resurrection have you stopped committing sin?

Only Jesus overcame sin. Even the early disciples continued to struggle with sin. Even you pastor is still struggling with sin.
Meaning repentance from sin is in the old testament as well as in the new testament.

The only difference is that the blood of Jesus which was the ultimate sacrifice stopped all othet forms of sacrifice for sin.

Repentance of sin in the old testament didn't cover you. You are not an Israelites. Jesus sacrificed himself to cover both Jews and Gentiles

Were Jews not Israelites?
Why did they also need Jesus to still die for them since they already had forgiveness of their sins in sacrifices?

What is the basis of this discussion?

That the bible is self contradictory.

You said one who has fallen from Grace is some one who tries to use his efforts to be righteous.

I am simply saying the same bible says YOU should work out YOUR own salvation with fear and trembling.

hmmmmm so my question here is how does one who have fallen from grace rise back to his/her full potential even after giving his/her life to christ?

The Bible tells us that payment for sin is death (Romans 6:23). In the Old Testament, God told His people to set aside the day of atonement to make sacrifices for their sins. They were to bring an innocent, blemish-free animal as a temporary atonement for their sins (Leviticus 4:3, Leviticus 16:29-30).


God gave a temporary means of forgiveness through the death of animals (Leviticus 17:11). But no amount of sheep or sheer effort could remove the sin from the world, and God knew it. So when the time was right, He sent His son, Jesus, to be the perfect, spotless, and permanent substitute for us

Have you seen any unbeliever that died because he sinned? Or a believer that died because he sinned?

Yes the wages of sin is (eternal) death but atleast this much we know that Abraham and Moses are in heaven. Meaning they did not need the blood of Jesus to make it to heaven.

So what then is the difference between the old and the new testament?

Can you explain why one's effort means he has fallen from grace? When the same bible instructs us to desist from sin, work out our salvation etc?
